Susan Rice coached Zelenskyy for his meeting with Trump. Did she purposely set Z up for failure to further US internal politics?

Susan Rice worked for Obama and Biden. She is the last person that should give advice on how to tackle Donald Trump. But did she set him up to further US Democrat politics by creating this explosive meeting?

Z was given disastrously bad information I think but I don’t know if it was on purpose or not. It has harmed Ukraine and NATO. Trump will win this no doubt but what damage did she cause.

Zelenskyy doesn’t have many places to turn to anymore. Since Trump has control of the purse strings. I doubt if Ukraine’s neighbors have the weaponry nor the funding to save Ukraine from Russia. Or they would have been more supportive from the beginning.

I think three things were the purpose of the London meeting.

First, to stop European leaders from saying inflammatory things about the US as that worsens their position in the near future.

Second, show support for Ukraine to keep morale up in the country at the front.

Third, show Europe as something other than impotent which it is being viewed as by the US and others, including many in Europe. To your point, Europe has little to offer other than supporting words, a smaller bit of money than needed and fewer arms than are needed. I am also concerned that they do not have intelligence platforms such as spy satellites either.

No, the Zelenskyy simps think he did a good job. As far as they're concerned, Susan set him up for success while the Obama camp has remained adamantly in favor of the gravy train, so I don't think there was intent otherwise. Personally I didn't think either of them looked "good," all it did was expose him for being the weasel he always was for those who didn't already know. I also don't think Zelenskyy is used to having western leaders push back against him, especially in public, and his discomfort was evident.

The problem with Zelenskyy is that he's a two-timing liar who will say diametrically opposed statements depending on his audience literally in back to back days. This isn't uniquely a Zelenskyy problem; basically all Eastern European and Arab leaders do the same thing because they are culturally obligated to act as a "strong man" no matter what. He has directly accepted and rejected what is effectively a sweetheart deal multiple times depending on who he's in front of just in the span of one week, all while he supposedly doesn't even have the authority to do it unilaterally either way with his own government (his own words, not mine as Im not familiar with separation of powers in Ukraine), and our current no-bs administration is right to not only be sick of it, but eager to set a very different tone from the last admin. All of this is to say Zelenskyy is basically no different from Vladimir Putin except he doesn't have nuclear weapons, and a self enrichment scheme that is dependent on outside rather than domestic sources. Neither should be taken at their word, especially when actions constantly contradict.

She violated the Logan Act then. A 1799 law that says she cannot do what she did… if she did it that is. Zelenskyy will hopefully at some point tell us about Hunter Biden and Susan Rice. I would think Obama, Rice or one of the others in that crew would have reached out to Ukraine, possible through their NYC office and set up some calls. I have actually been to Ukraines NYC office on E 49th street. It is easy to get to no one really notices who is coming and going.

Rice won’t admit it as that would be in violation of the Logan Act. She and others are reported to have told the Ukrainians to not accept the minerals deal which was all but signed. It blew up for the world to see. Ukraine will come back as they even wanted to the next day but Trump wouldn’t have them. Now today they meet with an impotent Europe and then they will apologize and sign but now the US is being offered a minerals deal by Russia so there is competition and now the deal must be better I would guess. Obama is still trying to be relevant I see.

Not unless the Ukrainians name her as having been involved. This can come out later if they need something from the US. I am sure Trump will ask about details of any payments to the Bidens as well.

All Zelenskyy had to do was sign as he said he would. Then he made a grave error of changing his mind. The is potentially where Susan Rice told him not to sign unless he received US guarantees which I certainly do not want. So the stage was set, add some poorly received comments from Zelenskyy and you have a public confrontation. TASS would have been good to have there if they signed. TASS being there or not with the blow up though wouldn’t change anything as they could buy the video from someone else. Z reneged and that is a no no, especially with Trump. He will sign it now but the damage is done. Great job Susan and company…

Z came in to sign a deal which by the time it gets to that point is fully baked and agreed to in advance. He reneged. He also wanted to continue the war and has recently said the end is very far away. He can have peace but he won’t and many will die. He was the douchebag for setting the expectation that the deal was ready for signature. He now says he will sign again.

Zelensky hadn't agreed to anything prior to his visit to the White House. And I don't blame him one bit for rejecting that deal, because it basically would have allowed the United States to plunder his country, to suck it dry.
