Being honest I think people are too liberal with how they use the term (Colonization) but I'm not going to sit here and pretend that what Trump is saying about Gaza, Canada and Greenland though isn't the dictionary definition of the word. I support the country of Isreal they have a right to defend themselves, but Netanyahu has crossed the line royally.

I can support killing HAMAS, I can Support killing Hezbollah, I can be very generous with the blame I place on them for civilian casualties and have been, but they crossed the line in Syria. Netanyahu has declared he's attacking Syia to create a protective buffer zone, but they already had one this isn't about creating a buffer zone. The one they had was fortified to hell and back and even land mined the buffer zone was already big enough this is just expansion and a land grab.

I'll be honest based on what we've seen Syria was probably going to cozy up to Iran anyways but Isreal bombing them before they even had a chance to begin negotiating after they tossed out bashar al-assad was an unprovoked attack that did nothing but sour relations. Now it looks like Syria is going to become and emirate that suppresses Shia Muslims and every time one or the other gets oppressed more blood always follows. There's already a militia being formed to defend themselves against the Syrian government in their southwest.

I can tolerate a lot as long as it deals with the terrorists. I can accept a lot of war and bloodshed, but two things can be right at the same time. Yes, Isreal has a right to defend themselves, but they don't have the right to steal land with violence, they don't have the right to gift Gaza to Trump, they don't have the right to cozy up to Putin and they don't have the right to just bomb any country they want on the fly.

Yes, Syria will probably drift to Iran, but this guaranties it! That bastard has probably ruined any chance of pulling them into the western sphere now and Iran will probably gain them as a friend and ally meaning there's only going to be more and more bloodshed. Further Netanyahu is well passed his legal term. He's used trick after trick to find loopholes in their constitution to stay in power even though his own people don't like him! These wars give him yet another excuse. Netanyahu's a dictator!

This is unjustified Syria was no threat, do you know why? Because they just finished a ten year long civil war to remove one of the evilest regimes in history and they have to build a country from the ground up! They don't have enough time, energy, money or manpower to start a war with Isreal! They have much higher priorities like creating a nation!

bashar al-assad was an animal! The things he did to his own people were Hitler level. When the rebels reach his most infamous prison people who were there and took footage said it was worse than then the photos and footage they've seen of the holocaust! I don't think people understand! Before the rebels took over Syria was one of the biggest narco states in the world! They we're the number one producers of the Captigon in the entire world! think middle east version of phenol or meth.

People don't understand how bad those bashar al-assad death camps were. There were full grown men and woman that had been born in the prison from rape and didn't even know what the sun was. They'd never seen anything except their prison cell since the day they were born! They don't have time for war or the resources! This is an unprovoked land grab!

I want the terrorists to be controlled and destroyed and I'm willing to be very generous with what I'll forgive but ethnic cleansing by displacement? The direct theft and annexation of land through violence? No that's too far. Propping up a democratic puppet government and maintaining a military occupation to keep the peace I can accept but I won't condone ethnic cleansing or wars of conquest!

I would rather have US troops or UN peacekeepers in Gaza occupation for 200 years if this is the only other option. I won't condone genocide I just want to keep the peace! THIS is colonialism and if you look into it this conflict in Syria ticks all the boxes except slaves and to an extent that's debatable. Frankly I think America is about to become or you could argue already is a serfdom. This is wrong and illegal according to international law!

I'm aware this is a pretty big and long text take but I've been following global conflicts and have studied history at length. I'm well aware of what colonialism is and what it looks like and it looks like this and that's how you find the answer to your question. Look at the now and the past. History always repeats itself because humans are mayflies in the grand scheme of things and our memories are short. WW2 wasn't even a hundred years ago and the USSR even sooner, yet people have forgotten the threat of Russia.
