Every single person who has commented on my posts defending Trumps actions have said other countries were abusing the U. S. in some way.  In the article above you can see that the actual tarif Korea charges the U. S. is 0.79% because they have a trade deal with the U. S. but Trump said Korea charges the U. S. 4 times more because they have a WTO tarif rate of 13% but that only applies to countries who don't have a trade deal with Korea. This FTA was signed in 2012 it's not like it just happened yesterday.  The entire world economy has been set up to favor the U. S. since world war 2. The idea that other countries are taking advantage of the richest country in the world is kind of hilarious.  The global influence of the U. S. is declining. The dollar is being used less over time, developing countries are way closer to developed countries today than ever before. But the U. S. is still more influential than any other country atm. The global economy is just a lot more competitive today than it has ever been. Post world war 2 the U. S. could give loans to Europe and then European countries bought from the U. S. to rebuild from the war and then they still had to repay the loans as well. So the U. S. could basically do free stimulus and Europe benefited as well and then traded even more with the U. S. The U. S. didn't have much competition. Today it's different. Even with all the ways that developed countries tried to exploit and slow down developing countries, eventually they were going to catch up. Maybe Americans are just used to being the default option. Now that things are getting more contested they feel like things are not fair anymore. I don't know let me know how you feel.  Trump is just accelerating the decline of the U. S. by antagonizing every country that once relied on them.  If you're getting screwed by anything it's probably the wealth and income inequality.

That was a really good take.
Trump thinks he is the master of making deals and he is using tariffs as a bargaining chip. Somehow he thinks it will bring manufacturing and production back to the U. S. and help the economy. He's right about one thing. Our country is broke and our economy is in shambles.

When I read your initial question, though, I immediately thought of Israel. It attacks helpless people, steals, murders and commits ethnic cleansing but tries to act like it is defending itself. It's always the victim. And anyone who points that out is accused of "antisemitism". Even supporting its victims is seen as antisemitism.

100% true. The weak antagonize to fee powerful, freak when people defend themselves and then blame. Then freak out again when they realize it's caught on camera. And then lie regardless. This is their process.

I can't believe he attempted to threw Zelenskyy under the bus with that dramatic display. Prove he supports Russia and nobody has done anything to remove him. Countries are disconnecting from the USA. It's unbelievable. Democrats are incredibly weak. They never do anything.

Trump doesn't know what he wants to do from one moment to the next. It is like he throws something against the wall to see if it sticks and then tries something else.

I can relate to the bully/victim thing. @Circushowcowboy bullies me all the time and then tries to say HE is the victim. 🙄

This is the type of shit that makes Trump and the Republican Party so hard to agree with. If he said he wanted to negotiate tariffs cool but they can never go about it the right way

Never in history has there been any tariffs until Trump took over in January. I think he invented tariffs. (This is sarcasm for the slow people out there.)
