Why is Europe so heel bent to go to war with Russia?

What a stupid question. it reflects a complete lack of understanding of European history and the current Russian regime.

Europe is NOT hell bent on starting a war with Russia. But you already knew that. You're trolling for Putin and tRump. Europe is VERY worried that Vladimir Putin is trying to reconstitute the former Soviet Union one weak neighbor at a time.

Putin invaded Crimea and took it from Ukraine by force. Now Putin has invaded Ukraine from the north and wants to take the entire country by force. The Baltic states, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania are tiny, scared to death, defenseless and right on Russia's border. Finland and Sweden are likewise right on Russia's western border. Belarus is allied with Russia.

If those small countries fall, Europe has WWII all over again. Russia gains a huge front over which it can launch a land war over favorable terrain that would be hard to defend. And right now Europe is realizing that it can no longer count on a United States which has switched sides to suck up to a weaker Russia run by a dictator.

All our allies know the US can't be trusted to honor treaties or keep its promises. All of our enemies see that too. It makes Europe and the USA both weaker. Who benefits from our weakness. Could it be some guy named Vladimir?

Pretty simple really. Russia has been acting in a hostile manner for decades now and the only known cure for a country with imperialistic ambitions is a smack-down. Basically the situation is as follows; Russia is belligerent, negotiations are impossible, history dictates that appeasement or avoidance of the growing threat makes it worse and Russia just exposed itself for an ass-spanking by failing their invasion of Ukraine.

This is like God himself coming down from heaven to personally deliver onto you a golden opportunity. One would be stupid not to take this chance to eliminate your future problems with the minimal expenditure of your own forces and resources since Ukraine is both willing and able to front most of the cost.

If Europe does deliver a smack-down to Russia then that side of the world will experience world peace for another 100 years. If they fail then we will have another crisis on the scale of Russia invading Ukraine in 10 to 20 years which brings us even closer to WW3.

But we most likely will have WW3 happen, tons of European will die, Russia will implode being splatted in four like Berlin in WW2 and Trump will take Greenland then act as a hero coming to save European at the end of the war..
