Should NATO stop accepting new members into the alliance?

Considering that NATO can only invite countries that meet the alliance's standards (democratic level, military technology, military structure, transparency, etc.), and they can accept or even refuse the invitation, should NATO become an exclusive club only for current allies and nothing more?

By the way, NATO would now also have the option of accepting nations from outside Europe and North America. Theoretically, anyone who meets the standards could apply to become a member or be invited as one.

NO (Any country must be free to decide whether it wants to be part of the alliance)
