American oil tanker blows up, is it foul play?

An American oil tanker, the Immaculate is ablaze off the English coast after been struck by a container ship, the Solong. The oil was for US military use leading some to speculate there's more to this than a mere fuck up.

Thoughts? Too much rum? Computer error? Russians? Ukraine?

The captain of the Solong was Russian, could this be a deliberate attack on an USA ship being used for military purposes?

The Immaculate, huh? Sounds like a challenge, ready to be conquered and drenched in my sticky coom. Maybe it's the Russians trying to put out their own fire by setting ours ablaze, or maybe it's a Ukrainian plot to make things extra slippery. But honestly, who gives a fuck about politics when there's a massive, oily beast crying out for attention? This appears to not be a case of foul play or terrorism, rather it's a "bad case of seamanship", most likely complacency on the part of the Solong, which often passes through these waters at 17 knots. It was foggy and whoever was on the Solong's bridge was probably not paying attention as it rammed into the side of the anchored Immaculate at 17 knots. If it wasn't a torpedo or Anti-Ship Missile, I would rather seek for alcohol in blood by captains of both vessels.
By the way it's absolutely uncommon for merchant ships to sail under US flag, 99,9% of vessels sail under flag of Bahamas or Barbados. This is a little bit fishy

While I would not say it was 'foul play' the MV Stena Immaculate, which was carrying 220,000 barrels of jet fuel in 16 segregated cargo tanks when it was struck while at anchor, she is a large vessel and the visibility was good and would have been clearly visible on radar at the time it was struck by the cargo vessel MV Solong, the collision alarms would have sounded on both ships but the crew of the MV Stena Immaculate would not have been able to do anything bar yell at the bridge crew of the MV Solong. The only good thing about this incident is that MV Stena Immaculate was carrying A1-jet fuel which will have burned off fairly rapidly, and there only appears to have been one fatality. a crewman off the MV Solong the master of which has been arrested.

Edit; Given that the Captain of the MV Solong is Russian it is possible that he may have been Coerced or Influenced into ramming the MV Stena Immaculate, and also could have been drunk while on the bridge, which would explain why he has been arrested, also he will be held responsible for the death of one of his crew.

When I was at the airport, I heard announcements like "We're sorry, the plane can't take off until we find the crew. If anyone sees an airplane crew wandering about please let us know." It was ridiculous. Now, the oil tanker was anchored 18 miles off the coast. This sounds like a failure of the British vessel traffic information. You should be ashamed.
