Apparently over 50% of gen z in the UK would prefer a dictator and a third would like the army in charge.

My observations are the more political people are the more they want the otherside obliterated. They don't want democracy they want their side in permanent power.

Ultimately we're always disappointed, l they rarely deliver their promises, usually make things worse, cut cut and cut again yet our taxes keep going up. Left or right they're all a shower of shit and until we get politicians who act for everyone and not just a select few democracy will continue to disappoint.

democracy is a flawed concept anyway and gives majority rule over the minority

let's say there are 51 women and 49 men in a country of 100 people

the female candidate wants to draft all the men into combat with a neighboring country

the male candidate wants to abolish the draft or at least equalize it

the 51 women vote for the female candidate and 49 men vote for the male candidate

the female candidate wins and therefore all 49 men are sent to go die in a war because 51 women decided for them

see how fucked up democracy is. now of course the 49 men can refuse but suddenly that's considered "undemocratic"

Absolutely not!!! In Germany we are in a pretty unique position to have the direct comparison between monarchy, fascist dictatorship, socialist regime and democracy. I choose the democracy even with all its challenges every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

I don't understand why people think the USA is a democracy. It is a Republic. But let's say that it was a democracy. Democracy is where the majority vote rules. In the USA, Trump was elected president. That was the result of democracy, what the majority wanted. Many never wanted to disclose it - really, it's no one's business who you vote for no matter what side of the political aisle you're on. But the same argument was thrown when Biden was elected president. The product of democracy. Democracy will not make everyone happy. There is always a minority that will get screwed by the majority.
