Think about it. Putin is creating Ukrainian nationalism. Even in the zones they occupy- whom were previously more friendly to Russia.

Putin turned his friendly region of Ukraine into death zones. Those people in the red area hate his fcking guts now.

I see it all bad either way you go, damned if do and damned if don't. Maybe the old group was right fighting for every inch of Ukraine and after enough die, it fizzles out. But that is brutal as so many die, Ukraine be descimated and risky to expanding war as other nations come in.

It's really desirable to make peace. Allow Russia into NATO? I see no appetite for that. As long as there is an enemy... there will be friction on those borders. Rearming of Europe means Russia rearms.

Well, NATO won. Russia has depleted Russian equipment, their navy, their fighting age population of males, and their economy in that "meat grinder". It has been a great deal for Europe. Russia is weak now. And Putin can't afford to replace all of his losses.

On top of all that, NATO got to test out a lot of new weaponry and 21st century tactics in live combat operations. And we got to see all the flaws in Putin's dysfunctional centralized command, control, communication and intelligence structure (C3I) live on a daily basis.

Europe now knows a lot more about Russian military capability than Putin knows about NATO capability. What Putin has seen none of is our top line air power. Imagine what NATO's combined air power would have done to those poor Russian buggers on the ground. There would have been no safe place on the battlefield for those wretches.

It's mission accomplished for Putin. He has the regions he wanted, he guarantee no NATO bases and Ukraine. And Ukraine no matter how many tanks, planes, rockets, artillery of weapons is given to Ukraine by Europe and America and no matter how many conscripted men the Ukrainians throw into the meat grinder the Russians being dug in will never be pushed out of Ukraine.

The only option is peace but the question is how many dead Ukrainians will there be between now and when a peace deal is signed. So Zelensky can sign the peace deal now and save lives or fight on for another futile year at the cost of 100,000 Ukrainians.

Ukraine has lost the war. Bad leadership and false promises and advice from America and Europe has led to this. Follow the money if you want to see who won the Ukraine war.

Being pro Russia and wanting to become one with Russia is not the same things, a lot of people were Pro Russia in France too before the war but they would have never want to annex their region to. Russia.
It just mean they wanted to be in the sphere of influence of Russia instead of the American one.

Its not about hate, its about their own Ukrainian identity. Before the invasion you could consider Ukraine to have a fractured nationality. It existed, but they were not really united in purpose. After the invasion however Ukraine has forged a single united national identity that will push the nation forward for decades to come.

For an example of what I mean you can look at Germany. Before Germany was created it was just a bunch of smaller nations and principalities with their own identities. Then, through careful politicking and diplomacy a guy called Bismark basically tricked France into invading Germany which caused all of these separate groups to fight as one, as a unified Germany, and that is the basis for everything that is "German" today. Ukraine just had their "German" moment and will benefit from it going forward.

Ukrainian nationalism existed before Putin and will exist after him. Losses in this war are high for both sides, gains marginal compared with landmass Russia owns already. Politically it's a complete fail no matter how desperate Donald seeks Putin's groin to perform a fellatio.

History shows the general public don't give monkeys if there leaders surrender, there will be resistance and a fightback for decades. Unless you win hearts and mind pretty quickly your going to get bogged down dealing with resistance groups. It takes a lot of money and resources to keep your grip on a conquered country.
