Putin has lost over 100 tanks, 10 fighters, 7 helicopters , many more other assets and 4000 men. Time is his biggest enemy because Russians at home are not happy about this war and sanctions will hurt them more than Putin.

is objective is destroy Ukraine army and put in new Government and try to keep them in. He will probably get that done , but Ukraine will never accept it.
The war has only just begun, so I think it's a little premature to be declaring victory or defeat for either side. We also have no real idea what the losses have thus far been; those figures are largely speculative.
And do you think other countries especially European nations can hold out long without making business with Russia? Remember that it is the #1 country exporter of oil and natural gas. As of now, USA is helping these Europe nations for gas, but until when?
Probably. Watch for the price of gas where you live. It will soar higher than normal and it will remain like that until America will gain its money back or until at least the European nations get stabilized.
They expected much weaker resistance that's for sure. From Russia's moves it seems like they expected to be able to simply storm Kiev with some paratroopers, assassinate the government and then everyone would just magically surrender and let them install a puppet government or something.
Russia is likely running out of time and money, they expected blitzkrieg so their units don't even have proper supplies or supply chains. If they don't take Kiev by tonight it may be too late, they will have to send more troops and tech and that's going to take time and money. If Ukraine gets their hands on all the anti-tank and anti-aircraft missiles that NATO is sending, they may outright just grind Russia to a halt and then Kremlin will just go bankrupt.
Even if they win now, they will lose the war years if not months down the road due to not being able to recover from it economically. Russia is still a broke backwater 2nd world country with a GDP that's less than half of Germany.
It is too early to say if he is losing the war. Ofcourse in every battle there is always a lose of military men and weapons. And do you think he cares if people are in favor on war or not? He is not stupid or dumb. He already knew all these possibilities including sanctions will happen before even going into war. It is all well planned. These sanctions imposed by different countries will not only hurt Russia and its people. In the long run, it will affect us all no matter where you live. It is like a domino effect. Just wait and see.
Is this true? I tried looking that up online and can't find a source other than one dubious claim that's straight from Ukraine. I'm not on Russia's side, but I don't believe this at all.
Yeah, I wouldn't be too confident in the accuracy of any reporting on the situation. Both sides are incentivized to paint their own picture of things for morale reasons; and the western media is overwhelmingly propagandist for their own reasons.
In putins invasions of crimean 201 was just over a month and 2008 Georgia war was less then a month. It's hard to say right now but as time goes on the war will side with Ukraine.

They seemed so surprised that the civilians actually fought back, and now they're not only fighting back, but they're humiliating the Russian army. This picture taken by an armed Ukrainian civilian standing over a dead Russian really says it all
i don't think it's about him winning or losing. it's about killing poor people. imagine if you could do that in your country just so government wouldn't have to support them
The one problem is if you even look at the numbers in ww2. Its pretty obvious Russia doesn't have much stratagy other than just throwing there soldiers at there enemy.
Because it is just part of the battle.. Why does every country needs an army if this is an old school strategy. Before these happened, they tried many times to seat and talk with Ukraine officials and they were being turned down. So now when these unfortunate war happened, Ukraine president is asking for them to seat and talk. But it is too late, no more turning back.
@Hürrem if you have no strategy you end up just sending people everywhere and compile a great number of losses. Right now Ukraine is using a great number of civilians and still haven't suffered the same loses.
It is not over yet. Who knows they are using this Russian military deception or what they call Maskirovka. Part of it is confusing the opponent with their movements and let the public think they don't have strategy since they have so many loses right now here and there. Lets wait and see. Its just the beginning.
