So there has now been cases where ICE has specifically targeted political enemies without legal grounds in trying to revoke their citizenship and deport them.

For example, here is Mahmoud Khalil being apprehended without criminal charge by ICE, first to try revoke his student visa, which is bullshit because he did not have one and once they figured out he actually had a green card they switched to try revoking that instead so they could deport him. Such an obvious attack based purely on Khalil being a political enemy since they have scrambled to attempt to find legal grounds to justify what they have already done.

Another example is 10-year-old girl who has brain cancer and was deported with her family even though she is a US citizen through birthright.

At this point the mask is well and truly off. Any pretext that this is just about enforcing the law or protecting Americans is laughable. This is a political purge of the country using highly illegal means. I think its time to stop pretending that the Republicans are for law, rights or freedom. An insurrection has to target the government or its institutions as a whole. Its an attack on the nation, not a single person or single property. The January 6th insurrection for example tried to attack the capitol but more importantly the politicians inside. That is something that would have disrupted the structure of the government. Furthermore they attempted to overturn the election which again is an attack on the institution of the country.

Actually, you make a very good point regarding that. I had not thought it through completely but you are absolutely correct. I think this is why the whole Guantanamo Bay facility exists. They send people there to get them out of the way and then torture them. I know The CIA sends people to other countries and they have arrangements with other countries to torture these people in ways that probably wouldn't be permitted in the US but are perfectly legal in other places. Just thinking about this is extremely disturbing.
