Alcoholic. Alcoholism is pretty nasty and destructive.

I'm using the real meaning of INCEL, which involuntarily celibate. Nothing at all wrong with that. Probably most people were INCEL at one time in their life.

Incels in terms of the hate group, kill, harass, and assault people on the daily. They're more of a public concern than alcoholics who primarily hurt themselves. Sure there's some cases of alcoholics hurting others, but that seems like a easier to deal with issue than incels do.

Do you think it's easier to get incel members of the hate groups to back down? Or help alcoholics deal with and manage their addiction and mitigate harm they cause to others?

That is not what an incel is. I know it's used that way, but I intentionally use the original meaning.

As to alcoholics. Alcoholics do not primarily hurt themselves. They hurt everyone around them. It might be less visible to outsiders, but alcoholism is very destructive.

Then why are alcoholics more tolerated in society than incels, the way I'm using it.

Probably because it's usually behind closed doors. And because much of the damage is more psychological. That's why there are programs like al-anon, and similar programs for the families of drug abusers.

There is also a LOT of physical abuse due to alcohol. But it tends to be less visible to society. A lot of abuse is never even reported. Oftentimes not even friends know about it. One of the top causes of murder has alcohol involved - usually the murder of a spouse. The children are also abused. I've known several people myself myself who were abused as children. It's horrible for children growing up with alcoholics.

Sure but we literally see incels go on terror sprees literally every month. Alcoholism is an issue but the murder of children at school in mass vs an alcoholic dad?

While terrible what you went through, you're alive and can get therapy. What percentage of victims of alcoholism are murdered? 99% of victims of incels are shot to death while the 1% are sexually assaulted.

I doubt if the damage comes anywhere near the damage of alcoholism.

The problem with the incel issue is that there is no way to even define it. More than anything, it's just a derogatory term people arbitrarily apply to other people.

The reason I used the real definition instead of yours is because I have serious doubts if any such thing even exists - not in the sense of cause and affect.

The worst an incel will do the overwhelming majority of the time is kill themselves. Incel based attacks happened like 3-7 times within the past 10 years.

Drunk driving or angry drunk people are very common.

I'm literally married. I'm asking because of the threat they pose to society. We recognize how alcoholics are harmful but now how literal hate groups of losers are out there attacking and murdering us.
