Well, lets see. Monarchy is the oldest, most primitive form of human government. Basically the biggest baddest asshole in the tribe seized power and killed off his rivals while the spineless members of the tribe sucked up to the asshole for crumbs from his table. But the newly self appointed chief, chieftain, warlord, king, or emperor ate first, drank first, fucked all the women, fucked over everyone else, and fucked up anyone who got in the crosshairs of his paranoia.
After the ahem "leader" dies, there is no election, or any sort of selection process. The wealth and privilege automatically pass to the eldest male spawn of the dead asshole. This second generation King is almost universally an inbred moron who has gotten by until he inherited the throne on the brutality of daddy and the spinelessness of his daddy's yes men. He's even more paranoid than daddy was because he knows nothing beyond the fact that all of spineless toadies want to knife him in the back and steal the throne because he is weak. The peasants just don't want to be worked to death as always.
And this goes on until the peasants have had enough and slaughter the King and the rest of the aristocracy in a bloodbath for the ages.
So what do I think of Monarchy? I think it's a stupid anachronism from the past. I think it's prone to abuse of power. I think it's unsustainable as a consistent form of government over generations. I think the centralized control and decision making fails as population grows. I think Monarchy is a dictatorship with pomp and ceremony. And I think there are better forms of government that don't trace their origins back to the biggest most brutal and bloodthirsty asshole sitting around the village campfire.
I have given some thought to the idea that an absolute ruler could fix a lot of the problems that we have in the United States. That would mean a Tito-like Benevolent dictator. but I thank the temptations of absolute power are too great and it would end up in our revolution resulting in marxist style state.

Is even a movie on HBO with the Queen Marie of ROMANIA!!!
While Queen Elizabeth II was alive I supported the Monarchy, but since Charles was crowned I have changed my mind, Charles is supposed to be 'The Defender of the Faith' as the head of the Church of England, but ever since he ascended to the Throne he has been totally focused on Islam and the WEF (World Economic Forum) and I'm not to sure about William either.
I like idea idea of a monarchy, a constitutional monarchy, like most countries have.
