Internationally illegal for multiple reasons in multiple ways and Greenland is a territory of Denmark it's not independent. Also, Greenland is a Danish territory not an autonomous country. Invasion of Greenland would be an attack on Demark who is a Nato ally and would trigger article 5 meaning all of NATO would be obligated to turn on us and declare war.

I can't believe we have America, China and Russia creating the real world 1984 and people still can't see that Trump is a fascist. I understand the reasoning, both in terms of Natural Resources and strategic protection. I do not think Denmark has either the interest or the resources in protecting Greenland from incursion by a foreign power. but if we're to annex Greenland we would have to have the approval of the people there. Leaving Greenland to Denmark is like giving your teenage son your best horse. He can't handle it And he will lose it over time through neglect.

Western Europe is being overrun by Muslims And that is enough to distract Denmark from even thinking about Greenland. And will a population Like that of Wisconsin in an area about that of Maryland, Denmark is incapable of taking care of a land mass that is 30% larger than Alaska. if we decide to annex Greenland, we can provide more benefits to Greenland and Denmark itself than they can possibly do alone.

Millions of people? Certainly not in Greenland. Its population is around 57 thousand. Denmark? If you take the rough fighting age of men in their country we are still talking less than 1.5 million. Who else would be joining in with this hypothetical conflict to bring the number into the “millions”? I mean, Europe overly depends on the Unites States for its military defense deterrent against the rest of the world. Would Europe be willing to risk war with the United States while it is greatly speculated that Russia is presently eyeing a greater incursion into the European theater? I suspect not.

If there is any European belligerence towards the Unite States it would likely take no greater form than civilian protest in its streets. Not even from Denmark. Especially not if a single carrier group from the United States Atlantic Fleet parks itself between Greenland and Denmark.
