How does Greenland feel about Trump and his trying to take over them?

I have read that 85% of the population is opposed.

They don't want military bases and all kinds of industrial shit fucking up their country. They don't want to import the kinds of problems that the U. S. has. They like their governmental system and lifestyle and don't want their country to become Americanized.

And they don't need "protection" from Russia or China. Those countries are not a threat. They are not going to invade. Greenland apparently need protection from the U. S.

If Greenland became part of the U. S. its citizens would lose free healthcare and education, robust social safety nets (unemployment, maternity, disability), and 5 weeks vacation per year.

I saw this video and while I don't agree with Trump's moves for Greenland (we already have an agreement with them and Denmark to build further military installations if we need to), this lady is making WAYYYYYY too over simplistic observations about Americans.

She is correct on some of her observations, but it's ironic that she says Trump doesn't understand Greenlanders (which is correct), but yet she doesn't understand Americans either.

Further, from a fundamental POV, this is where naive idealism finally begins to meet reality: when you live very far away in isolation, you become "tamed". Yes, there's a lot of free shit there, but sooner or later, the Chinese or Russians will be coming for them as the Arctic begins to melt. The leaders of Greenland should have seen this coming as it was an obvious point in geopolitics as the second Cold War started MORE THAN HALF A DECADE ago. When does war come? It's when you put your weapons down.

Apparently in a poll taken of the near 57k people in Greenland , majority ( some 85%) are dead against , seeing it as insulting , disrespectful and frightening.

I think the rank and file citizens would be for it but the politicians do not want to be dethroned. I imagine that there will be many back room deals in the next week or so. NATO will have the US in their backyard , the citizens will get 100K each and then the US will develop the country creating thousands of good jobs , Trump will give up something to make Denmark happy and as my late father used to say, "he will save the world for democracy.

You've never outed how uninformed you are and how much you blindly eat up everything that you get told as long it's comes from your hero. Greenlanders/Inuits are far from wanting the US to take over, in fact many want independency and becoming the new Alaska of the US is never going to grant them that.
