Trumps belief that Greenland is vital for US security is deeply flawed. The US already has vast resources of it's own and should war break out would have open access to Greenland and Europe.
Ones only got to watch eurovision voting to see how quickly the Nordic countries support each other. Denmark, Sweden,, Norway and Finland combined have a formidable militaty that is geared up to take on Russia. An attack on Greenland would come at a heavy price.
Reading what you said it sounded like he had a signioficant effect. He said is ADDED another dogsled to our security. It "Added". The indication to our securioty means he'll take asd many dogsled as he can find. As to Greenland, In WW1 it was strategic, In WW2 the same, Cold War with Russia, critical! There seems to be a trend.
I have travelled extensively in the United States, I think this type of ignorance is common, however it’s sad that such an ignorant person would be elected to the executive branch.
If he commented, it is usually idiotic or a lie. It doesn't tend to matter what the actual comment was. Imagine MAGA if a Democrat President was talking like this and overthrowing random countries. But they cheer it on because it's Trump. That's how cults work though.

Actually that’s not true, the Kingdom of Denmark is a NATO member, if they were to be attacked by Russia it would fall on member nations to defend its borders. The United States has no legal claim to the island. You are promoting an imperialist agenda that the world rejects
You do realise that nordics have fighter jets and there is a rotation in Iceland? Even UK Typhoons could make it in time as early warning radars in Lappland would spot them. Unless if of course they drop them on the uninhabitable glaciers part without ports or airports in which case they can just be bombed on their way south where the survivors will meet prepared defenders.
