Of what I see, more odds China makes a harder play for Taiwan... depends on how the whole AI/semi conductor chip issue is playing out on their side. The USA put an embargo on these resources under Biden, similar to oil embargo on Japan WWII. What are they to do to get those critical resources? Whomever controls those chips and AI controls military dominance (drone warefare, etc..), media truth and the future of what people think. So it is a essential... and we blocked it!

It may be enough to push them to the edge of seizing the land they say all along has been theirs... and there are ways to do it. Thus, I'm more cautious about my travel plans:) It's not fear, it's thinking things through. China is not a hot head, but they are strategic. Question is, can they produce the chips necessary to compete without Taiwan? If answer is no... It looks a ripe time to take Taiwan... alignment with Russia is strong, USA globally is weakened in support... etc.. By taking out the Taiwan leaders quick, etc.. doesn't have to be full blown war... kinda like Crimea.
