What makes a good verses bad cop?

I would say good cop is someone that is nice to people that did not make big crime (for example forgetting seatbelt) but still remain firm to make the person understand that's it's dangerous and it's for their safety to put it on but need to be more "strong" towards big criminals.

I think a good cop is able to differentiate a true criminals from an average person doing an error.

Most cops are good people who seek for the safety and betterment of all. The training they currently get is lacking. So, they're mostly as good as they can be. We need to change the training to make them better at doing what they've chosen to do.

What's with all the cop questions? I have known some great cops and I have known some terrible cops. A good cop does the right thing when nobody's looking. I have a couple friends that are cops and a couple that used to be cops.
