The SAVE act requires a person to prove their citizenship when registering to vote, eith the goal to I prove the safety and security of the voting process.. That can be accomplished in many ways. The act doesn't make it harder for married women to vote. A married woman can use a combination of their birth certificate and marriage certificate to rationalize the name change.

Only 4 Democrats voted for its passage since the majority of Democrats vote against any bill introduced by Republicans, no matter how good the bill is. Playing politics at its finest.

My wife was lucky she was able to get her real ID, because we lost our marriage license. Lucky she had a sister who was able to find where we got our marriage license. Ok because someone say, “gee you two are so stupid you forgot where you got married” Answer, “Sure we remember where we got married, it was township where we got the licenses we forgot”.

The SAVE act requires people to have identification to register to vote. The real question here is why did all Democrats except for 4 of them vote against it?
