As some here may recall i live in Los Angeles where Bernie Sanders and AOC continued their Fight Oligarchy Tour. I was among the more than 36,000 people in attendance

It was truly an electrifying experience and shows we are ready to fight the oligarchs attempting to usurp our democracy. No more! If they ever stop by your town think about attending yourself!

I demonstrated against the Iraq war a long time ago. I was like 12. But in Switzerland you don't need to attend rallies because you can vote on specific issues so your voice is heard if you vote. Rallies are basically there to show support for a cause because you're not being represented. So you have to show that people care about this issue to try and be heard.

But here the minority is also heard and represented in some ways. People accept when a vote goes against them because they like the system and they accept other citizens voted differently for a reason. And if there's enough support for an idea it will get implemented in one way or another even if the first attempt fails.

There are still demonstrations and speeches for some things. But I'm actually happy with the way things are going here so I don't feel the need to join any protests.

I never attended a Political Rally, I honestly would’ve went to a Kamala Harris / Tim Walz event though it was always in the Swing States during the 2024 election cycle, not a solid blue or solid red so it was always out of reach.

During 2020, I actually tuned into the Joe Biden ‘Fireside Zoom Broadcasts’ as well as watch President Trump’s rallies in live uncut broadcast too though if I’m speaking honestly I watched more of Trump’s instead out of “he is the current President and I need to know his stance on things”.

It is nice you got to attend The Fight Oligarchy Rally! Especially seeing Neil Young and Joan Baez. Bernie Sanders & AOC are doing a great service speaking out on the mess going on.
