Should the rich be able to buy exclusion/convinience? Should wealth only be for status / goods? Is this POV compatible capitalism? Our human nature?

I agree that when it comes to essential public services, everybody should receive the same high level of service.
Obviously, if the rich were simply taxed enough, it would be possible to provide public services good enough that there would be little incentive for them to want to pay for the private alternatives - but getting the rich to pay taxes is notoriously difficult (in the UK, private schools actually get significant tax breaks, which is ludicrous).
The system you propose is basically just forcing the rich to use the same services as everyone else, in the hope that they will then be more willing to pay the higher taxes necessary to fund improvements to those services (it's not enough to just "call for things to get better" - they have to actually be willing to pay for it). But if you can't force higher taxes on the rich as it is, what makes you think it would be any easier to force this system on them?
we sell it to them...
and give them the resources to be able to do so as well
we purchase our conformism from them... we feed our consumerism from them... we create them and then complain that the exist in the first place, lol
if these people want to make the richer lower their living standards... then the same people should get out of their first world countries and experience the living standards of the poorest than themselves
maybe go to a third world country and have them build their iPhone devices or clothing themselves... lmao
The rich don't send their kids to regular schools because they don't want their kids education dragged down by unruly kids who don't want to learn. They pay extra to sit in a nice restaurant and not have to listen to some Karen make a scene or kids slurping like animals. Avoiding poor people also means you're not worried about them stealing stuff or wanting a punch up because you looked at them.
Sadly horrifyingly accurate
So much truth in that statement! How nice it would be if that is how it was working.

LOL, not how it works. But you do you.
A lot of "rich" people do work and travel alongside the "poorer". Some poor do become rich and rich do become poor. It is not wealth itself that is the problem.
Some people are just utter bustards regardless of how rich or poor they become. The problem is personalities. In the past we would exile or kill fuckers who did not function within the community. Now the laws can be exploited so the worst can rise if they evolve the methods to do so.
I agree that politicians should get out more, and experience what their constituents experience. But freedom and liberty is what makes a country great, not forcing someone to do something because they may have had the foresight and ability to be able to afford things that others dont.
"Power should only accrue to those who would reject it" Cato
Everyone should be able to buy legal things that they can afford. Regardless of their wealth, no one should be able to buy their way out of culpability under the law. if I want to send my kids to Dartmouth and you can't afford it I should be able to send them to Dartmouth. but I should not be able to buy my way out of my child being drafted into the military.
The rich always get to skate. I dated a girl who came from a very affluent town and all her friends were spoiled rich kids. They all went to private colleges and drove nice cars and had sailboats and went skiing and had nice vacations. I want toa crappy commuter college and had to sweat very semester the pay for it. I had an old chevy and worked my crappy part time job on vacations. Even though I worked really hard, all these kids wound up better than I did.
What is your point here? That these greedy rich are now your idle's! Those that think tariff's will only cause pain to the working class for several or more years, when it would fatten their wallets however. I just don't get trump maga believers like yourself!
@katiesmuff I want to see good paying jobs come back to the US and I am sick of having to buy cheap junk made in China that falls apart as soon as I take it out of the box and there is no Made in USA alternative. The middle class has been decimated. Why do you think that people have to work two jobs if they want to buy a house? Everyone has to compete with the slave labor in the third world.
Rich people just get to live differently. They do not worry as much to pay the bills or think that everyone gets to summer on Martha's Vineyard. They get married at some destination that the rest of us have to go into debt to attend. I do resent it because it really is not fair.
Why is it that these mega billionaires haven't built factories in the past to build the components needed for these industries. You and I certainly don't have the money or ability to do it. trump doesn't give a rats ass whether you or I starve or not and would step on us in a nano second.
@katiesmuff Is it possible that Trump just wants to leave a strong and prosperous America for his kids and grandkids?
No he just wanted to be king of the world, and is now finding out not much chance of that ever happening. His demize is soon to come. He is the clown prince of the world right now!
If staying within the range of free market capitalism, then the question above makes little sense to me because the core philosophy of free market implies free capital accumulation. Whoever accumulates turn these resources into whatever they want, that's the principle.
Otherwise, forcing improvement in public systems is the philosophy of welfare capitalism, more common in EU, as you know.
Life usually isn´t fair. But it would be worse if the Marxists had their way and no one but their designated elites could get rich. And economies are driven in part by convenience and other things being purchased.
I couldn't care less what the wealthy do with their money. This idea of making everyone the same is horse shit. If they can afford better, so what?
Looks like a true statement and they really should do with the rest of us do so they can get an idea of what it’s really like instead of being sheltered from the real world we live in
Everyone should be able to purchase what they can afford plus what people would also extend them credit to purchase. If you are jealous of what you can't afford please end yourself. You bring no value to this life.
Well, rich people can do whatever they like, if we were rich, we would be able too :P
No, he should have folks telling HIM what, when, where, & how he will be living.
It's funny how some naturally assume they know all there is about a person just because they know they are rich. Who knows the hardships they faced in life? Maybe it was so rough that's what gave them the drive it took to become so rich. But one thing is for certain. Nobody owes anybody explanations or to live their life according to a jealous, lazy asshole. And no, I ain't rich and never have been. But someone having a much better life than I don't mean they owe me shit or that I have the right to bitch about it.
You can always tell the failures at life who try to drag other people down to their level.
