The rule of law is important to me and should be enforced.
I want to let Trump do whatever he wants.

Trending & News Trump is free to do anything he wants within the limits of Article 2, Section 1 of the US Constitution. Full Stop. Even if some court rules against him, he can ignore it. If he does something outside the scope of his executive authority, he is liable. Within President Trump's authority In the executive branch, no rule of law restricts him. I am certain you don't like that. If you don't, there are two remedies. you can impeach the President or you can amend of the constitution.
In the interests of good dialog, explain to me why President Trump is not exempt from the rule of law When he acts within his executive authority.
That is easy. His supposed executive authority does not supersede the Constitution and it doesn't supersede the rule of law. Anytime he violates the Constitution, he is violating the rule of law. He, like any other Federal official must absolutely abide by legal decisions and orders by the courts.
"His supposed executive authority does not supersede the Constitution" It IS the Constitution and it IS the law.
Unfortunately, Nothing you said in supported anywhere in the Constitution. it is only what you feel. it's what you think it should be. but the fact is that it is not. Give me any reference anywhere In the United States Constitution or anywhere in federal law where President can be overruled by any court or any law insofar as he acts within his executive authority. ONE SINGLE REFERENCE. ONE.
There is a long history of supreme Court decisions that overrule decisions by the executive.
As Jackson said (maybe a paraphrase): "The courts have ruled. Let them enforce their rulings."
No court can tell the President what to do. There are exactly three remedies to overrule the President. Number one is Impeachment. number two is Removal under amendment 25. number three is Assassination. do you get it now?
His executive authority is governed by the Constitution. When he violates laws contained in the Constitution then the courts will attempt to constrain him. But as you rightly point out, there is no clear enforcement mechanism. That is pretty much where we are now and we will see if Trump continues to violate provisions of the Constitution and the courts continue to rule against him and he then chooses to defy them. If that happens that is basically the end of democracy.
Nothing constrains the elected president of the United States insofar as he acts within his executive authority. And even if it did, how would you enforce it? you can't call the police, you can't call the military, You can't call the fbi, You can't call they us Marshalls, You can't call the cia, And you even can't call the Russians. I think we are going around in circles here. You can say what you feel but nothing that you say can be supported with facts. Only what you want to be true.
What you're really saying I don't disagree with. He can basically do anything and everything he wants and there is no method of enforcing any sort of controls against him. This does leave out the military but their ability and willingness to do this is very questionable. Impeachment is usually one suggested solution but as a practical matter, it is not possible because Republicans control both the house and the Senate and refuse to vote against him.
He can act outside of his executive authority and literally nobody can do anything about it.
And this morning he just did that.
That does not make it legal and in fact by doing this he will ruin our democracy. Say goodbye to the laws.
rule of law should rule. he will push the limits of that as fast as possible because in not too long, he loses his edge.
It's amusing the maga cult would celebrate any time a judge ruled against Biden and now they cry every day when judges stop Trump. They only care about laws and democracy and the constitution when it's convenient for them lol

The rule of law should be enforced but this has to be followed by both parties. President Trump has a big job to do and democrats are bending the law to prevent him from doing the will of the people.

The past is prologue
let Trump do what he wants? Is that a trick question? It’ll destroy democracy. He really thinks he’s a dictator
It's more important to let Trump do whatever he wants.
why?
Because everything he does is good for america.
Well maybe in your opinion that is true but in the opinion of many people and according to the law it isn't true. Giving him everything he wants makes him a dictator. Do you really want to live in a country that has a dictator?
Why didn't he become a dictator the l last time he was president?
Why don't you answer my question instead of trying to change the subject?
Every potus is responsible to the law
Apparently not this one...
