Somehow, hopefully, the man will be eventually returned. How hard can that be? It's just extremely sad that this poor man will be a pawn in the game Trump is playing. I just don't know the game. Is it Chess or Pin the Tail on the Donkey? Just another illegal immigrant that was in the wrong place at the wrong time. But, that's the way it is with lawbreakers. You tempt Fate and sometimes Fate bites you in the ass. Trump may be using it as an example to get these people to self-deport so that "If you don't leave, you will get the same". If you were an illegal immigrant, wouldn't you consider getting out rather than being sent to that prison?

He entered the us illegally at one point but became legal and was granted “withholding of removal” because he would likely be harmed had he gone back to his country which funny enough (but really not funny) is El Salvador. He has been legally in the US since 2019.

Since the SCOTUS ordered DOJ to retrieve him, and denying SCOTUS is going against the constitution, this is a constitutional crisis! Whoop! Whoop!

What happens next? Most likely either the judge will move to try enforce compliance from the government or the government tries to push the matter up to SCOTUS again for "clarifications" (AKA Trump will yell at them to submit to him) and either they fall or we come back to the question of how the courts can make the government comply with the law.

@NoDecision This guy is not innocent, He was convicted in two courts of multiple crimes. He ws found to be a memeber of MS-13 and he was already supposed ot be deported. Maybe he got on the wrong plane but he ended up in the right place. He is not Ward Cleaver.
