Not "everything". But a slight bit of diversion from the right path is ok and acceptable whenever needed and required, according to me.

If we are always within rigid boundary it makes our moves predictable and it's can be used by our enemy against us. Similarly in love everything predictable is boring sometime.

war is an awful experience and it's true that people often do awful things during wars...
love is a beautiful feeling that connects people... can't see any reason to stain it with anything negative...

I believe that the way you "win" is as important as the winning itself. You can do whatever you want in regard to love and war but you will be looked upon differently if you are actively doing terrible things.
