Why are people so stupid that they accept doctors and nurses who lack empathy?

I asked this question recently and your answers shocked me. Do you know that such doctors would NEVER treat you unless paid a lot? Do you know they would harm patients INTENTIONALLY? Do you know they would KILL people ON PURPOSE? Do you realise that a certain level of empathy is essential to not enjoy hurting any patient? Sure a doctor or nurse shouldn’t sit down and cry about someone’s pain or disease but not caring about it or enjoying it is just a big NO! How can anyone be so stupid to accept such healthcare workers? I would prefer to die than be treated by criminals like those.

Because many people who lack empathy aren’t easily identifiable unfortunately some are attracted to these certain professions. Many people who are dark personality’s are very charming especially the intelligent ones. The ones who are smart are the ones who choose something like the medical field.

Not at all. I’m saying there is good and bad in all professions

I for one understand that the reason a doctor takes the time to treat me is because that is their job. I do not need to rely on empathy to motivate them when I already pay them.

I don't think I've ever met such a doctor... I met doctors I didn't agree with but all of them were more or less ethical professionals
