What are your genuine views on us Brits?

How do you feel about us as a nation and what kind of people do you think we are? I'm talking about modern times, not our sordid past.

The past ain't so sordid. The British empire wasn't a completely evil conqueror. We adopted your language, some of your ideas about government and your legal system, and a lot of cultural stuff. Our past binds us.

But today, the Brits are a much smaller economy sans Empire. And the UK has much less political and economic influence. I envy your public health system vs our broken for profit disaster. Your education system seems competitive. Standard of living seem OK if lower than US. And you've done a good job of diversifying your economy using your experience with trade gained from centuries of empire. You are leveraging what you got pretty well. And you've managed to become one of the few nuclear powers.

Your food sucks. Be grateful for those immigrants from your former colonies, LOL. You have a great sense of humor and seem more easy going than Americans. You also seem to have more of a sense of community than we do. Maybe that's a thousand years of history and culture that we lack. I'd hang out with Brits or Scots any time.

The Brits I have met in the US have been arrogant and condescending bastards of the highest order, but I am sure that all Brits do not fit that description. My paternal great grandfather emigrated from England in 1862 so I don't have any innate dislike for Brits.

As a man from the Southern USA, I have a lot of respect that Britain seceded from the European Union. Way to stick it to the free-loading Eurocrats. Now, all you need is to privatize healthcare, stop bowing before the woke mob, carry pistols, become the 51st state, and hang an American flag on every doorstep. Then you'll be cool.

My interactions with Brits have generally been good. The bits of Europe I've seen have felt very... stagnant. I don't know if "culturally dead" is the right way to put it, but it feels like a population of people that has stopped creating and they're still riding the highs of the past.

I visited there in '96 and have a positive view of the British. I feel bad that the Muslims are taking over. Of course they're doing the same thing to some boroughs of New York City.

As a British person, i admit i look down on other countries. Like in Eastern Europe, for instance. they come here but then they dont' have our infleucne.
