No. And taxation isn't the answer either. Churches are exempt because of the amount that is spent on the military - which actually doesn't make sense given Christ doesn't teach pacifism.

As a Christian I don't have a problem with churches and parachurch organisations paying tax on income. Maybe a lower rate or designated taxation so it's only able to be used for domestic upliftment, but then most churches I know spend the bulk of their offerings on community outreach, soup kitchens, helping the homeless and veterans, etc already. The big "megachurches" included where they're run in a biblical way - not like Joel Osteen for example - but the ones where the pastor draws a relatively modest personal income (which is taxed, by the way) and the majority is spent outside the building to support the community where the government fails to. Ex-cons, single parents struggling, gbv survivors, veterans. Politically it's all rhetoric and nothing changes. Families lose their homes because a child gets cancer. Vets live on the street because they have PTSD that's ignored by government and not covered by the pittance they get as "healthcare".

So no, if you close churches a massive number of people - not just Christians - will be worse off. There's no pressure to join a church before we feed you - or after if the church runs biblically. I've seen mosques turn away hungry people here in South Africa because they weren't members of their congregation.

The churches are far from perfect, but they're better than nothing.

No. Taxed like everyone else. Hopefully into oblivion. Sell their property & graveyards & make parks, preserves, trails, playgrounds, etc out of them. Such a complete waste of resources - just like they're "thoughts & prayers" bullshit

If you want to die, I guess you could try to make that happen. We wipe out entire nations just for attacking our boats. Imagine what we'll do if you try to take our freedoms.

Well if your going to close them in America then the reason would be that the truth has come out and other country's would probably follow and do the same for the same reasons
