What’s something people always assume about you that’s not true?

Oh there's a bunch of misconceptions that span a range of ways people perceive me.

1.) That I'm shy and/or lonely because I seldom interact with other people whereas "normal" people are more accommodating and friendly. Women I know constantly want to fix me up with their single girlfriends. I have to immediately disabuse them of that bad idea in very direct and plain language, LOL.

2.) That I'm arrogant because I won't engage even when people approach me. And I'm not that accommodating "nice guy" who will give up my seat to allow a group to sit together. Go get a table if you're trying to take up 6 seats at the bar. Not my problem you got here too late to get seats for 6. I chose my seat for a reason. Also inane small talk about nothing with most strangers is painful to me. I suck at faking it. I'm looking for the exit the entire time.

3.) That I'm dangerous. I'm very fit and muscular, along with being relatively tall and I guess scary silent to some people. One woman sitting next to me while out with her husband. Out of the blue... "You look like you could be an assassin". Literally the first words out of her mouth. Umm... uh... OK, thanks? I guess. Stuff like that is not uncommon. Another woman... "you must be really confident". Really? Why? You don't even know me. Why would you say that?

What none of them ever get is that I'm an introvert. I don't want to be the center of attention. I enjoy sitting back and observing the room much more than getting trapped into a boring meaningless conversation with someone I don't know or answering a list of stupid questions that some woman trying to date me just plucked from the latest issue of Cosmo. I have to admit, those "interview" questions can be hilarious though.

Maybe everything lol there have been times that I'm working and a friend will see me come say hi And introduce me to somebody will will say hi chit chat a little bit And keep working.

Then see the person.
That they introduced me to about a week. Later I will say hi and they will act all weird. And as we talk, they will say. Well, you're nothing like I thought you were and I will say. What's that

And they will say what kind of put off this kind of cold And I will just look at them and say I don't understand They will explain to me and I will say I'm sorry but yeah, when I'm working, I'm not really pain. And not paying attention lol Then they will say. Well, you're completely different than I thought you were.

So it's like people judge you before even knowing you.
And I mean that's okay but that's happen almost in the same ways but different but I've been told before when people meet me I like have like a wall up But then they meet me again and they say i'm completely different and I think that's just because i'm working But they always say I would rather meet you when not working.. I just get into my work.
And I get paid per job so I focus Not really paying attention to who i'm talking to Not in less its the person that i'm working for or doing work for

Prob that I have never had to worry about anything or never had to work hard, which is not true, academically I never felt like I was that gifted but I worked super hard at it and was my high school salutatorian and I went to a highly regarded college and got great grades there, it was all tryhard stuff it didn’t come easy for me.

And, that I am self centered and control my relationship, which maybe I am kind of self centered but not more than average and I spend a lot of time thinking about other people, and as for controlling my relationship it is kind of funny if you know how my relationship is (I am obedient to him though that’s my own idea so, I don’t know how that compares with the idea of me controlling things, kind of yes kind of no).

That because of my age, I like old fashioned music. My daughter loves the old music for the 60's (Jeff Beck, Woodie Guthrie, and the Ramones) but I love rock and roll. The Rolling Stones, Weezer, Queen, Lighthouse, The Cure, is what I like.

I have been called a ”player” numerous times by some woman I know and I'm still confused why they said this to me. I do have some plutonic female friends but I wouldn't date them or sleep with them ever.

In reality I'm a very shy guy with a body count of 4 and I don't do short term relationships or one night stands. I only have sex with a woman once she has become my girlfriend and it takes time for me before I'm feeling comfortable enough to have sex with them.

I'm more like the opposite of being a player

I'm really weird and socially awkward and I think I make some people uncomfortable because of it. I think some people actually get a little scared of me and it does sting because I try to avoid stepping on ants when I walk because I don't like killing things. I'm not a violent person to living things. I get really mad and hit objects sometimes in private, but I don't hurt people or animals. Well except myself. A few times I've just gotten so angry and pissed off at my life I started beating myself. I've done it a few times not. I basically just punch myself in the gut or head until I feel better. At the end of the day though the only person in danger of me is me and I don't like it when people find me intimidating because it makes me feel like a bad person. I understand why they think that way I can be kind of intense when I'm manic or depressed (I have a bunch of mental disorders too) but it still hurts my feelings.

That im gay - which may or may not be true i maybe in denial but everyone labels me as a faqqot and that im stuck up/think im better than others because im quiet and dont talk to others. I guess woman have great radars because theyre the ones always gossiping about my sexuality and no im not attractive, supposedly I have gay face
