First off there are no sacred cows. Everything can be made funny and probably should be.
Second, I used to do a historiography lesson with my AP students on 9/11 where I would tell them of a particular terrorist & his attacks and give them primary source material about the attacks that was written contemporaneously and then tell them that these attacks were made into popular children's games, rides and simulations. Needless to say they were correctly horrified and Stone Cold silent the entire lesson with gaping mouths of disbelief.
The entire lesson they would presume that I was talking about 9/11. I wasn't. What I gave them was source material from British contemporaries describing George Washington as a terrorist and the various games, jokes, etc that were popular in 1780s UK.
Just to add insult to injury I would continue to talk about a disaster where over thousands of people died. They still thought I was talking about 9/11 when in actuality I showed them video of a blow-up slide of the Titanic that children were merely in gleefully sliding down.
History is WORTHLESS without challenging assumptions and multiple perspectives.
Japan should face their war crimes in WWII. From Nanjing to Bataan and much more. If Japan didn’t want the 2 bombs then it shouldn’t have attacked Pearl Harbor. If Muslims didn’t want Afghanistan and Iraq invaded and destroyed then they should have attacked on 9/11.

To make jokes on murdering people who were not involved is tasteless in both cases.
Your own planes flying into your building is funnier than dropping bombs onto another country
Jokes aren’t meant to be censored. They’re meant to make you laugh as you look around nervously.
Who jokes about that?
not joking material in either way.
