Napoleon wasn't short. He was around 5'6, for his time it wasn't short. People think he was short, because he was measured 5'2 after his death, the case - is, he was measured in french feet and not English feet, and these units are different.

The same with Hitler - he was around 5'8 or 5'9, which was tall for early XX century.

  Depends in what country. In USA it's 5'4 from what I remember.

  True. I've been to a few museums with suits of armour. What's surprising is how short and thin these knights must have been to wear them.

Can't say I have one since I'm not a huge history buff, but if I had to choose, I guess Napoleon, since he wasn't playing around.. LOL.. I would've picked Churchill but he was into eugenics..

Napoleon was actually average sized. The imperial measurements for France and Britain were different, so he was reported as shorter than he was. He also appeared short because he had tall guards.
