Stronger in their heads: Germans, except for pioneers or grenadiers.

Stronger in numbers: the U. S.

Stronger in whore-buying-power: the U. S. (''abroad'', that is)

but then... Army is for those who can't swim or fly, and who like to crawl through dirt.

It really makes no difference. When was the last time any country won a war that it started? Modern wars are unwinnable, no matter the imbalance between the forces.
