Which is stronger, America or England?

I think England is stronger. Because the official language of America is English. What do you think?

ENGLAND is actually just one nation in a Union with the nation of Scotland, Principality of Wales an the Provinces of Northern Ireland so in effect you have 4 nations that are incorrectly, often by residents of the the South Canadian provinces of America, as England. Those same folk tend to take English and do bad things with it and seem incapable of following the wisdom of the languagists (linguists for those who use the proper version) who control English as the world's most spoken language, in their guidance of how the language develops. Is it stronger? Well, it depends on which metric, intelligence probably yes, in land area no, in amount of waste yes (less waste is better), in amount of billionaires then the smaller one is less but as a proportion it still loses, but in wealth disparity the South Canada provinces lose but they could learn to copy the Original Canada but for some reason they'd rather kill each other with guns because apparently everyone is a judge jury and executioner (literally) when a perceived crime or fear occurs they can use firearms on each other instead of rely in the law enforcement agencies. It means also however sadly that schools become the easiest place to practice shooting each other and that means their fear of each other is often taken out on children which is pretty bad and not a sign of strength, more of fear and weakness.

England is not a leader in agriculture, manufacture, electronics, raw materials or anything else. It's just a small island that used to have a powerful navy and vast colonial empire. That empire has been gone since WWII. But in the minds of the English, they are still the glorious empire.

Well, history lesson I guess. In 1609 English colonist landed on the shores of Virginia and set up the first English colony city in the New World, Jamestown Virginia.160 years later give or take a few that single city had grown into a colony which had then grown into 13 and those 13 decided for their own purposes that they no longer wished to be under English control so they fought a revolution, the success of which led to the French Revolution in the 1790’s. Anyways the 13 colonies break away and form the United States of America. A generation later the Americans and the English fight again in 1812-1815 I’m going to give England a pass for losing this one because you guys were fighting the Napoleonic Wars at the time. Jump to WW1 and England’s young male population gets decimated by a gruesome trench warfare before the U. S enters during the last year for the win. WW2 and most people know US and England used England as the launching point for all of their operations in Europe but that wouldn’t have been possible with British aircraft strength during the Blitz of 1940. Thus England is indeed the original land of English but historically the US has recently been the one on top

For what its worth Winston Churchill once said that the U. S and England are 2 countries separated by a common language. Comparing any place to the U. S with our current executive officer isn't really fair as Burkina Faso probably would look good by comparison. England is more civilized, better history, U. S has better weather a healthier economy ( stay tuned on that though). Just listening to women from the UK speak gets me aroused but that isn't often a factor in polls

@Paige90 We spend more than 2% of national income on our military and are building to 3% over the next decade. We contributed in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and Iraq again. We do our bit.

Well during the British Empire and when the U. S. was just colonies England was stronger. Over the last 100 years or so the USA. It is bigger, richer, bigger military, bigger economy has more influence... etc.
