Canada is a little bit different than USA. It belong to america but social social system is like England. Is it more like uk or america?
If anything pretty sure it's more French. Pretty sure it was only the west side really that was British.
It's for sure not alike America. While America is basically English/Spanish/Germanic besides it's strong religious views that the founding fathers never actually wanted everything else it did was opposed to British views.
The irony been England is more like what the founding fathers wanted when it came to religion than America is now.
But that's a bit of a tangent back to Canada yeah nothing alike USA.

Canada is part of the British Commonwealth, with King Charles III as its official head of state. But the majority of Canadian people (including les Quebecois) act more like USA Americans than British. And Canada has the dollar as its currency, not a pound.
So what's the answer to the question?
Neither... Canada is Canada... its own unique country, with close ties to its southern neighbor.
Canada is its own sovereign country. Its on the American continent but independent from the U. S. also independant from the U. K (1982), although still part of the commonwealth. They did retain the monarch of the U. K. somehow which seems to be a unique situation from what I read.
Maybe a Canadian can give better input into that and how that is handled inside Canada.

It is practically have French and half British, it clearly has had American influence, i mean we have here in the UK but Canada borders the USA. It is a on the North America continent so you could say it is America, but a lot of it's culture is British influenced. It is still part of the Commonwealth and has the King as Head of State.
Canada is neither English or American, the East out to Toronto has a French flavour. Western Ontario, Manitoba, Alberta, Saskatchewan, North West Territories, and Yukon, have their own flavour, British Columbia has a West Coast American vibe. Canada's Government and Legal system is on the English models.
Canada is Canada. Ironically we (the US) tried conquering Canada several times after the British invaded in 1812. But I think it was half hearted because their country was just like ours and would eventually be a former colony like Hong Kong and India.
Ironically it's more American lol 😂😆 even with a King 👑 who is also Australia's King and UK's King. The same human lol 😂😆
The last time I was in Canada was 2008. It was pretty much like America. Now I heard it has veered towards socialism.
Canada is like britan but not "belong" just on america land.

I've been many times to Canada. If we exclude Québec and New Brunswick which are French, culturally, it's very American. But politically, it's more similar to the UK.
The Western provinces, the USA. THE eastern ones, the UK and France.
You left out FRANCE because a large part of the population traces their ancestry to France, and speak French, especially in the North West part of Canada and they wanted their autonomy for decades
A better hybrid of either and both. Truly a synthesis of the best from each nation.
Canada does not belong to America. It was a French and then English colony\territory before it's independence
Canada is Canada.
England is English.
And America is two continents.Canada under Trudeau is a third-world dictatorship.
Part of the British Commonwealth. Not fully 100% independent
It's France for North Americans where New Zealend is Texas for British people.
I agree Canada at its heart is more UK than U. S. Montreal is more like small city in France.
Canada is not America but a independent, soverign country
It's more like Canada.
