Has Martha's Vineyard become more "tolerant"?

In September , 2022 50 illegal aliens were airlifted to Martha's Vineyard. Within 48 hours they were rounded up and bussed off the island on the freight boat.

Last week ICE came to the Massachusetts vacation spot for liberals and arrested about 40 illegal aliens. The citizens of the Vineyard seem to be singing a different tune.

Have they really become more tolerant of is the fact that these illegal aliens will work for half the money as an American at their restaurants and hotels and of course it will be a lot cheaper to get their lawns mowed. ?

Just like all the very rich regardless of party affiliation hunt this cheap help out to do there housekeeping, lawns, etc. It's only the maga nuts who live in trailers that would try and say only liberals hire the cheap help which likely bothers them because they have nothing to clean or lawn to mow and too lazy to start a business doing that work.

That’s the only reason they would allow illegal aliens there is because somebody has to do the menial work there on the island but I guess last time they had too many illegal aliens to deal with that’s why they ship them off

The summer was over the first time so they shipped them to the mainland. No it is only May so they need cheap labor. They will use them for the summer than kick them of the island agian and let Cape Cod worry about them.

@OddBeMe I have been to Nantucket and even met the legendary Man Form Nantucket. I have been to the Cape plenty of times. Nantucket is a funny place. It has super rich people that all have libral guilt and yet their is a poverty class that works in the restaurants and hotels in the summer nd collect unemployment all winter.
There is an underground group of heroin addicts. They usually send somebody to the mainland to get drugs on a regular basis. There was a women in the group that overdosed and died. She was wearing just a pair of red panties when her drug mates dumped her body off the ferry pier.
The next morning the early boat pulled in and the passengers were met by a floating body ass up giving them all I\a hearty hello.
The beautiful people were upset that her body was left in the most conspicuous place on the island and not that a young woman was dead or that fentanyl had made it out to the island.
