I wouldn’t call it a technical double-standard, but more of a perceived faux-double-standard. But people who try to reverse-victimhood shit drive me fucking crazy.

It’s not even like victimhood is a prize or anything I’m actively looking to assign to anyone. It’s more just an intellectual and moral recognition of things not being the same for everyone, like literally just noticing it, being aware of it, and taking it into account in my life perceptions.

But there are these impossibly weird people out there, who seem to be policing society, very childishly looking around for instances where they can point and piss and moan about someone else allegedly getting special treatment or “having it easier”, when said special treatment EXISTS and was explicitly created FOR countering special MIStreatment that exists and can easily go unchecked, as it can be easily cloaked and explained away as something else, the old “you can’t PROVE that’s what I was thinking” gray area they love to live in.

This can manifest itself in many ways, but the common denominator is that it’s a majority demographic (white people, men, heterosexual people, etc) complaining that minority demographics are getting protection from discrimination, which they misperceive as getting an advantage, which…. I mean, that’s just a dumb thing to think, lmao, what do I even say to that.

So basically, anyone with a mentality of “but what about white people?”, but what about men?”, “but what about heterosexuals?”….. bruh…. you can’t be serious. You’re either dumb for not recognizing the situation and the need for these measures, or you’re an asshole who favors the majority demographics inherently, who don’t need the help, and are no less qualified than someone else in most cases. That’s another great aspect, this “If anyone other than a straight white guy is doing the job, then they MUST be inferior and were hired despite lack of qualifications!”

People with those attitudes can’t possibly shut the fuck up hard enough for me, lmfao. Just intense reality-denial.

This is kind of a half double standard. I do think woman should be eligible for the draft because I believe in equal rights come with equal societal responsibility's but for biological and medical reasons as well as some others I don't think they should be allowed in combat.

Women are physically weaker, have less endurance, have a more fragile frame and in general are naturally less violent and just physically are not capable as fighting as hard as a man with equal training. Further war is hell and any woman who becomes a POW especially against certain enemies we fight is going to be gang raped, enslaved or murdered if taken prisoner maybe all three.

It's also by split seconds but woman also have slightly slower reflexes then men but in combat a fraction of a second often decides which one of you dies and which one of you walks away. Women are also more vulnerable to being abused by higher authorities in the military and I think men's and womans units should be at least partially segregated.

For one that helps keep people from getting pregnant in a war zone while on duty which could cause all kinds of problems but if female soldiers for example are under the command of female officers there is less risk of abuse of authority and sexual exploitation.

Keep in mind I'm a civilian with no personal context to this beyond research I've done myself so there are limits to how seriously my thoughts should be taken but this is my take. I think woman should be eligible for the draft but only support roles where risk of combat is low.

If you have a different take by all means that's your right but these are my thoughts on it.

That makes perfect sense. Our ancestors are men and women who produced the most living descendants. Those are men who impregnated the most women. And, the investment is only a few minutes. However, the investment for women is 9 months plus another 12 years. Furthermore, babies sired by inferior men are less likely to survive because they lack the strength and intelligence of babies produced by Alpha men. Therefore, our ancestors are women who choose wisely and fucked only the best.

@anon1903 That is kind of BS that "boys' were brought up on and then 'grew"? up to become 'Macho men... My parents had one of those ignorant assholes as a lifetime friend, and I found out from my mother that this punk ass, "checked up' on his wife to be to see "what kind of woman she was/is before he married her! That is what we are talking about here... that kind of 'macho man' ass wipe, that has to "check up' on a girl before he marries her. So, your point is well taken by me, and hopefully by others...

Grestest double standard is in the pretty privlidge women. It's how our society works.

Clearest example is when a pretty woman has sex with a 14 teenage boy, half the internet's guys are complaining: ""where wad these fine ass teachers, nurses, babysitters etch in my childhood", "what a lucky guy" and so on!

When the roles are reversed, no matter what the man looks like, both men and women would be hating and helping to hunt that man down, with no remorse, no regret, no mercy for having sex with a 14 year old girl!

I am not saying that pretty women should have this advantage, I am just pointing out the double standards of the society!

My favorite double standard is one in which the woman has the freedom to date other guys, while her husband or main boyfriend remains 100% exclusive to her.

Also, that sentiment portrayed in the image selected for this question hasn’t been true in western culture in my entire lifetime.
I’ve never met a woman who doesn’t care at all about the body count of a man she’s interested in marrying or otherwise spending the rest of her life with.
There are a great many pejoratives that men and women alike use to describe promiscuous men. Anyone who suggests otherwise is lying or woefully ignorant.

No one should sleep around. But i agree with your pic, if a man does it its not bad. Because he won't get any pussy any time he wants. A woman on the other hand can literally call a guy up and have sex that same day if she wants. Again im not saying its right thing to do because its bad for people mentally, man or woman, get a wife or husband and have sex as much as you want.

Double standards I BELIEVE in are the ones where it's always going to be men who step in to help save folk in natural disasters. That's because we're stronger and less afraid of taking risks.
