In my profession I know it’s definitely not. Yet men in my profession earn way more than women - it is because men deserve more as they work so hard and develop all the skills necessary.

There is no such thing that women get a lower rate if pay it is the same for everyone as well as you being able to charge what you want.

Not to mention men take the risks that lead to business ownership etc… how is it an injustice to women?

As men we also have this fight and masculine energy in us to drive us forward. So we should end up with higher salaries as we’ve deserved it

There are several factors that effect pay.

For example, overtime.
If we generalise, men tend tend to be more money driven and women tend to be more family orientated and/or socially driven.
(Yes there are exceptions)

Say if a man and women work in similar field, but the man averages 60 hours a week and the woman averages 40 hours a week.

Would it really be fair if they have the same monthly salary?

Also then why would anyone, regardless of gender, work overtime if it doesn't pay?

I think most of those studies of gender gap only take into account how high the yearly salary is.
Not how many hours someone has put in.
Some people can have more then one job also.

Also most women tend to avoid jobs that are dangerous and/or dirty.
The same is true for many men would not like to have that type of jobs.
But of the people who actually do, majority of them are men.

yes, the girl at work made more than me and got stock options over me.. which means she made million more than me. so did other women and some guys. explain how this is fair? it isn't... there is no fairness, only what you negotiate.

Well it's an indisputable fact that women earn less than men, on average. The the key is why. The underlying assumption is that it's due to sexism. I don't believe that has been the case for a long time. Men and women make different choices, and that's why there is a gender pay gap.
