I think their governor and mayor is trash. Complete lawlessness.

California is an utter disaster. The state has been very poorly managed for more than a decade. It's what happens when ideology is allowed to trump sanity, logic, pragmatism, public safety and efficient use of resources. It's what happens when the wants of a fringe minority trump the needs of the majority. The result is insane tax rates, oppressive regulation, out of control crime and homelessness, and priorities that don't serve most residents.
