Perhaps if the right wing had not grossly exaggerated the impact and severity of "illegal" immigration (consisting of not filling out a form or overstaying a visa), the left would not be conflating legal and illegal immigration. @DryGermanGuy When you cripple an industry the commodity they produce becomes more scarce. When that happens the price goes up. When that commodity is oil the price of fuel goes up. When the price of fuel goes up everything that is delivered by truck rf plane goes up as well as everything that needs petroleum in it's manufacture.
When Trump was president America was energy independent.. gas was under 2 bucks a gallon and inflation was at 1.4%. As soon as Biden was installed into office he cancelled oil leases and cancelled the Keystone pipeline. Energy companies would not invest in drilling new wells because they did not know what was coming next.
The price of gas more than doubled in a matter of months until it was over 5 bucks a gallon. Inflation reached almost ten percent.

Trump had the Covid pandemic at their worst impact, so everything was shut down, so obviously fuel prices were extremely low. How does this need to be explained? The United States were energy independent under Biden and reached several records in domestic oil production. Again, you are just too lazy to open the relevant statistics. That silly Keystone pipeline meant nothing for the energy prices, that was a project with ten years of building time. Every press release by OPEC has ten times more of an impact.
