Do you think that we get out of traffic tickets more than men do?

I saw another post where somebody said that women get out of more traffic tickets than men. Do you really think this is true?

Absolutely. I’ve seen polls of drivers and police officers amalgamated to indicate that cops admit to letting women off more often than men, while female drivers admit to talking their way out of a ticket more often than men. There are various factors involved. So it’s not a simple apples to apples comparison.


It doesn’t stop at traffic incidents either.
Old data and new points to men being held responsible more frequently at every stage of law enforcement. For every interaction with LEOs, men are more likely than women to be arrested. For every arrest, men are more likely than women to be held without bail and charged with a crime. For every charge, men are more likely than women to be prosecuted. For every prosecution, women are more likely than men to receive a lenient plea offer. For every trial, men are more likely than women to be convicted. For every conviction women are more likely than men to receive a lenient sentence. For every sentencing, men tend to serve greater percentages of their maximum terms than women. These comparisons hold up even when accounting for identical crimes.


This “knew” knowledge about profiling suggests that previous data might have been compiled and reported inaccurately. Statistics on a lot of crimes typically considered male dominated are seem to be showing changes in trends. The question is: are women committing more of these traditionally “male” crimes or is law enforcement merely holding them more responsible compared to their mothers and grandmothers?
I don’t think people are any more likely to commit crimes than a few decades ago. I think we’re finally policing them somewhat more fairly than before.

Well that depends on the cop but MOST of the time the answer is no and flirting can even piss certain cops off especially if they’re in a mood that day. I know cops who have probably written thousands of tickets and others who could count on a single hand how many tickets they have EVER written in a career.

A lot of people on here posting are posting rage bait and anti police bullshit that frankly isn’t even worth my time to get into. If you’re respectful and getting the message chances are higher (but never certain) you’ll get out of a ticket. It also depends on the cop and their mood. There are some cops who are softer on women who are attractive. There are many who aren’t.

I think it's probably true, in a broad sense, yes.

Individually, though, it likely depends more on the person, and the cop. I've known women who can't drive down the street without getting a ticket, whereas I've gotten out of quite a few, myself.

I've found that if you can make the officer laugh, they'll be much more likely to give you a warning, so that's what I usually do. Women generally just have to be pretty, and act helpless.
