I truly don’t understand why they wouldn’t do it.

they did that a few times already, they don't like being pushed around.

they are like the little kid in the hall with an attidue connected to their almighty... teh bully pushes them around, and they will bite ankles if they have to and won't give up til dragged off by police.

in this case, they have the ability to make israel suffer, and maybe a few others. It's a big country with some dedicated crazy people. in iran/iraq war, they marched through mine fields arm in arm. think about that. it's a different mentality for some.

Iran had agreed to a nuclear deal under the Obama administration, which included the first careful diplomacy between both countries since the deposition of the Shah. Trump, out of jealousy and stupidity fucked that deal up. Why would Iran now trust the very same guy who fucked up the existing deal for nothing?

The same reason the US courts don't just agree with Trump on everything, and have defeated him in 96% of cases.

You do not trust felons like Trump, and you do not act illegally, yet expect legal outcomes.

Iran has no reason to trust Israel or Trump - and they have been proven right.

So when can we expect Israel and Trump before a court?

Because they're playing Trump for a fool. He's made a lot of serious threats against Iran and they know if he doesn't follow through he's going to appear weak. Given Putin has warned Trump not to intervene there's a good chance this gambit will work.
