The average, everyday American is hanging by the thread. Younger generations are worse off than their parents' and grandparents' generations. Homeownership is becoming unobtainable. Daily essentials like groceries are skyrocketing. Healthcare is deteriorating. To make matters worse, entry-level jobs are being slashed and graduates (and those early in their careers) are struggling to find meaningful work. Ghost jobs, job board scams, foreign candidates, and AI screening softwares are compounding to the challenges and making it seemingly impossible to break through.

I voted for Trump all 3 elections. Everything started to look up during his first term right before COVID struck. The Xiden regime was a disaster. I had high hopes for Trump during his second term, but as it stands today, everyday Americans and middle-class families are continuing to suffer financially. While Trump is kicking ass on immigration and eliminating all this DEI/social engineering bullshit, he is missing the mark on everything else so far.

The leftist regimes were a catastrophic failure in their attempts to push their identity politics and social engineering practices. From race baiting to attacks on masculinity, traditions, and family values, I have a huge disdain for the Democrats and the left.

Although, I am losing patience towards the conservative right, and I am beginning to believe neither party or side has our best interests at heart besides lining the pockets of the elite.

More than any other president since Clinton, Drumpf is pushing policies and practices that benefit working class citizens. The tax exemptions on tips and overtime were left in his “Big Beautiful Bill”. If it passes the US senate, it bodes well for millions of working people. The tariffs are meant to bring jobs back to the US and increase the value of American products and services. With the exception of the immigration fiasco, none of this happens overnight. The state of the union is the result of decades of corruption and complacency at the highest levels. Drumpf is yanking back the veils to expose unbelievable levels of waste, fraud and abuse. If managed properly, this could mean less taxes for everyone. He’s cutting back and shutting down agencies that can’t justify their value as compared to their cost. That’s a promise for “smaller government” that no other Republican in my lifetime has ever even attempted.
If you read enough anthropology and sociology, you’ll learn something very interesting and extremely important to know about human nature. We are not meant to live in tribes of much over one hundred people. The many and various implications that has had on our politics, past and present, are eye opening. Small local government is where it’s at. So much so that it is perfectly reasonable to assume that anyone who aspires to offices in larger government entities further away from their own communities are inherently corrupted by their desire for wealth and power. But i digress.
Too many people want everything to be catered precisely to their whims without actually having to participate at all. We are a nation of lazy, ignorant and selfish people who are in fact getting exactly what we deserve, for the most part.

we only have 2 kids and can in theory pass on to them what we accumulate, so they should be ok by staying out of debt. those without assets, they will work hard and possibly struggle unless they can navigate the evolving economy / AI world. People without assets are trapped, that's how the govt wants them.

they could work their ways out, so many immigrants do. but americans are trained to be stupid consumers. and so they will be entraped, enslaved and controlled while their wealth is inflated away.

@Ez-Bri-Z_v2 I am probably he most everyday American you will ever meet. All I know is that when Trump was president gas was less than 2 bucks a gallon and inflation was practically non existent. My retirement account doubled in the 4 years of the first Trump administration despite the covid shutdown.
I did not have two hotels full of illegal aliens living 4 miles from my house and I never even thought about owning firearms.
Then as soon as Biden was elected gas went up to over 5 bucks and my retirement account lost 20% of its value.. Every week a the supermarket was an adventure and every week we wondered what Biden would screw up next.
Even though we had a pandemic, the trump years were like the good old days.
That is what I and the majority of Americans voted for.

Gas was that price because of the pandemic. Nobody was traveling, and gas consumption was down. By the time he left the office, gas prices were 2.40 a gallon. Not the 1.87 he quotes.

Trump actually raised inflation over Obama's numbers. (1.46 Obama to 2.46 Trump). He also added trillions to the deficit.

What you fail to digest is that Trump inherited a stable economy from Obama and he totally butchered it to where by the end of his term between his antics and his business friendly attitude that allowed retailers to jack up prices on all of us, that Biden inherited an inflation rate that ballooned to over 4%.

As for 401k's, those have swung downwards as Trump has scared markets with his tariff scares. Thankfully, markets figure out that he chickens out on them (where I honestly think he is manipulating the markets out so his buddies can buy cheap and make a lot of money). That's where he earned the nickname TACO from. Things have somewhat stabilized, but markets are still dowb.

I want to give you an idea of what this is like. I am a software developer with nearly 4 years of professional experience at various companies. I have worked on projects for many big names, including Zoetis, Daimler, Corteva, and McCain Foods. These are multi-billion-dollar companies. I am definitely not entry level. I am well beyond junior level at this point. As it stands today, I am broke, unemployed, and collect disability checks. I have literally less than $200 to last me until the end of the month. Meanwhile, my mother has friends who are having to go back and get a degree less than 10 years from retirement. Another is having to go back to work despite being disabled. We are living in some really bad times. We had a dementia patient in the White House for the last 4 years and abuses of power by unelected bureaucrats. We are dealing with the aftermath and consequences from this.

No, honestly I am struggling on who to trust. I will say for certain, we are in immensely polarized and vulnerable times. Stability and normalcy will be the saving grace, not radical policies or drastic overhauls (whether that be from the left or right). We don't need the left's radical sociopolitical agenda, nor do we need the right's ignorance of average everyday American's struggling to remain afloat. The idea is not to benefit a particular wealth class or group of people based on race, ethnicity, sexuality, etc... but to benefit all American CITIZENS. The keyword is citizens... broad enough to include many classes of people, but people who have the legal status of citizens.

There is a contrast between unemployment and UNDEREMPLOYMENT. Are these new jobs created well-paying middle-class jobs or are they in fast-food, retail, and other minimum-wage jobs?

For example, what about the instance of a software developer taking a job as a pizza delivery driver? Sure, he is employed, but he is far underutilized for his skill sets.

Both well paying jobs and lower paying jobs are on the rise. If a software developer can't get a job developing software, it's because something about him is less desirable to employers than the other candidates applying for the job.

A lot of college students are also getting pre-signed on to jobs when they have good grades, too. I have several friends in college with with that going for them, plus those employers are even financially helping them.

I have nearly 4 years of experience in the industry. I have worked on projects for Zoetis, Daimler (Freightliner and Western Star), McCain Foods, Corteva, Douglas Products, among some big names. Many of these are multi-billion-dollar companies. While I lack a formal degree, I have proven myself to be very talented. Sadly, despite hundreds of application submissions, I have had no luck. I have my own website and resume site. I have active projects online. This is a catastrophy and a signal the tech industry is hurting.

President Trump is trying to bring good jobs back to America. He has gotten many companues to invest in factories in the US which will provide many new jobs. His revitalizing the energy sector as well. It takes more than 100 days for all this to happen.
I know that it is hard to find a job. I got laid off during Covid and it took me over a year to find a new job. I do not know when kind of career you have but you need to hsng in thre nd sometihng will come up.
