Medicaid NEEDS to be cut and cut dramatically. Taxes need to be cut as well.

As for corporate tax, there is no such thing. "Corporate taxation" just means that corporations are acting as tax collectors for the government. Taxes that corporations pay come from the customers, so it's the customers who ultimately pay it.

What corporate taxes are really about is control. The government, especially the federal government, loves to use taxes as a means of control. The feds do the same thing with states, local governments and individuals. As long as there is any tax at all, then they can ( and do ) use it to control.

Big spending and big taxes go hand in hand. The important thing is to cut the government. Taxes are incidental.

Corporate taxation is taxing their profits and returning some of them to the people. Not taxing corporations simply means the people don't get any benefit. Not at all a load of rubbish. Where do you think corporate profits come from? The customers pay it. Every time you buy something you are paying that tax.

Not taxing companies also returns it to the people. You pay less for the stuff you buy. But it's a hell of a lot more efficient when corporations do it than when governments do it.

Who said it would not affect anyone? Of course it's going to affect people.

As someone who has been dealing a lot with both Medicare and Medicaid lately, it's even worse than I thought. Everything the government does is wasteful. But Medicare is wasteful to the extreme. I'd be surprised if as much as half of the money they spend actually goes to medical costs.

206,000 jobs were created but a surprising loss of 33,000 in the private sector. Some of the government employees that were laid off by DOGE have been hired by other agencies. From what I read, high interest rates have prevented companies from expanding and increasing their headcounts. We will see what next month brings with the tax cuts included it Trump's tax bill.

Considering that Medicaid is a program for each individual state, not a federal program, one could argue that the federal budget could have zero dollars for Medicaid.

If it's what I'm thinking of, that was a delaying tactic by the Democratic party. They required that the whole thing be read out loud into the record.
