How do you respond to ignorant people do you argue with them or allow them to believe what they want?

I try to inform them first. If they make it clear that they have no desire to know and do better, then i still present facts. But it’s more so that other people can make an informed decision. Even before the internet, there were truth tellers and storytellers. The storytellers weren’t always trying to deceive. So it was a fair bit less contentious. People also really seemed to value truth and facts for the most part. That has changed dramatically. It’s probably the greatest damage the internet has helped people do to themselves. Lots of people are choosing ignorance. It’s kind of unbelievable if you’re old enough to remember the before times.

I'll argue with them until I realize it's pointless. After that I'll just argue with them to piss them off.

It depends how much damage I think thier ignorance is going to do. I don't mind them hurting themselves. It's when thier ignorance hurts innocent people that I feel compelled to say something.
