That's the point, it's HISTORY. You're just pretending not to understand that 150 years ago Democrats were popular in the South because the Republicans were against slavery, they were the pushy Northerners trying to ruin their way of life (even though they weren't even trying to get rid of slavery in states where it was already established). Once that issue was settled by the Civil War and Democrats started working for civil rights, Republicans started courting the racist vote and it's worked very well for them. Right now, today, the right wing is planning modern-day slavery of brown people by letting people out of their concentration camps to work on farms.
