After months of hearing it wasn't true and all right wing media, plus Trump and his MAGA cult are liar's, did it actually turn out to be just another cover up by the left wing media and their democratic party?

1 yYes sounds like they traced it, reported it.
Is that a shock?
NYC was sweating bullets trying to house all those people, the $ came from somewhere. They were off by billions and this was just... choak choak... $100 million! CAn you freaking imagine that. So you gotta wonder... where those other billions came from don't ya:)
All this funnels backwards to Govt ignoring Texas pleas for help, after Biden's shift in policies and Kamalas welcoming people in, and Democrats denying there was even a problem, blah blah blah...

What would Jesus do?
Would He say "Hey, sorry, you're an illegal alien, so we're not going to help you, so say your prayers. Oh, yeah, right... you're praying to me... LOL, yeah, well, tough shit."05 Reply- 1 y
@asker, you need to know what FEMA is and what its purpose and ethics are.
For that, I recommend reading FEMA Publication #1, last updated during the previous Trump Administation.
www.fema.gov/.../publication-one_english_2019.pdf
Asker1 yI think you need to read it. Sanctuary cities harbouring illegal aliens isn't a "disaster" covered by FEMA, that's not even an argument. There are other agencies that Congress gives money to for those purposes. I've already discussed this.
Asker1 yI guess I'll say it again! FEMA doesn't give aid to sanctuary cities for harbouring illegal immigrants, that's not even an argument or do you think they do? Also, why should I answer your question? My question has absolutely nothing to do with Jesus.
Anonymous(18-24)1 y@syntosi The job of Fema is to pay tens of millions of U. S. taxpayer dollars to house ILLEGAL immigrants in LUXURY hotels?
The job of Fema is to arrange for temporary food and housing for disaster victims in the U. S., using the least expensive options they can get, trailers, motels, campers, tent cities. NOT the Ritz Carlton or the Four Seasons. NOT for illegal immigrants. NOT for people who have not been in a disaster. Coming to the United States illegally is not a disaster, except for us.

1.2K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. .. That is kind of the job of FEMA though.. Why is it that none of you people actually know how the government functions or what duties it has?

Asker1 yActually, FEMA is disaster relief for American'S, not for illegals. There is a separate fund for influxes of immigrants. Biden said that the money used to house illegals came from that fund, NOT from FEMA. He lied! FEMA already suspended funds and admitted to it. Try to keep up.
- 1 y
FEMA is disaster relief. Period. Also probably the best agency for handling housing and accommodations on short notice. Say, if the government happens to receive more illegal immigrants to house than normal.
Furthermore, the government like EVERY government who signed international laws has certain responsibilities even towards illegal immigrants which means they can't just let them die on the streets. Putting aside those who are looking to earn a citizenship such as the dreamers or asylum seekers, you still need somewhere to put the illegals before you can deport them. This is just a fact.
I am baffled that this is surprising to you people.
Asker1 yWell, Congress says different. I'm baffled and surprised you people don't realize this. Food and shelter for illegals isn't funded by FEMA, that's a FACT! If it was, it wouldn't even be a controversy. It's administered by FEMA but the money is actually from a different relief fund that is allocated by Congress. It was started in 2019.
- 1 y
Congress is full of politicians who does their best to act all dramatic and whiney but they are also the same people who wrote the laws that protects illegal immigrants both in domestic laws and international laws.
And again, FEMA is disaster relief, it does not discriminate based on citizenship. That is literally not their job.
Asker1 yFEMA disaster funds absolutely discriminate between citizens and noncitizens! Again, for the THIRD time, there is a separate fund for illegals. You have to be the most uninformed person I've come across on here. Where do you get your information?
Asker1 yI should clarify and say "illegals". Certain noncitizens can apply for actual FEMA funds if they have legal status.
- 1 y
Funny though, that they can let our own homeless die in the streets, but not lawbreakers?
Asker1 y@NoDecision It's interesting you say that, because when FEMA was initially created, helping homeless, mainly veterans, was one of it's main missions.
- 1 y
@NoDecision FEMA would not let homeless people die in the streets. That is the work of politicians.
Asker1 yDip shit, these cities APPLIED for aid to help with the invasion of illegals. For the fourth time, FEMA disaster money does NOT go to illegals! There is the Services and shelter program for that. Yes, FEMA will absolutely ask for documentation if you want their services.
- 1 y
Ahaha, no they dont. For example, while it is common to advice people that they should bring their documentation with them if they for example flee a hurricane, that is not always advice that is followed. A fair amount of Americans are left with nothing but the clothes on their backs and no way to prove their identity. There is zero percent chance that FEMA would turn them away because they lack the proper documentation.
Again, you have no idea how these things work. Maybe you should reconsider your ignorance next time before you form such a strong emotional position based on nothing but ignorance?
Asker1 yDip shit, I'm not talking about giving you humanitarian aid! I'm talking about providing you with credit cards, luxury hotels on a long term basis. That money is not supposed to come from FEMA. There is another fund (ssp) for that. Obviously you have no clue lol that's what the entire conversy is! If you want to argue there is no proof the money to house illegals came from FEMA disaster relief, I accept that argument but don't tell me that FEMA's disaster relief money is used to house and feed illegals, because that is false!
- 1 y
The SSP program is just a small part of FEMA and there are many other ways that funding is allocated to migrants. Furthermore, SSP is critically underfunded which means that their inability to perform their duty makes the problem spread to other departments and programs to deal with. If you want to pretend that SSP is the sole one responsible for this then you better give them the means to do it as well before you start yapping.
Asker1 yI think we just reached somewhat of an agreement. You just admitted there's other monies allocated for migrants? Not FEMA disaster relief money? Whether it's underfunded or not isn't my argument. Although, it has increased substantially as the immigration problem has increased. I also never said ssp is the ONLY fund.
Asker1 yI think we weren't listening to each other. I clearly said FEMA will help anyone during a humanitarian crisis, that wasn't my argument. My argument was their money isn't supposed to go to help cities that invite illegals in as a "safe place". I think you just admitted that. That's all I'm saying.
Asker1 yFalse, once again. Congress DOES NOT allocate FEMA disaster relief money to help with an invasion of illegal immigrants. As you JUST said, there are other agencies that Congress gives money to.
Asker1 yCan you expand on what you just said, because you have me thoroughly confused. If you mean the money that went to NYC, it was unauthorized, allegedly. That's why people were fired. No one gave them authorization to give tens of millions to feed and house illegals. That's the controversy! That money supposedly came directly from FEMA. Again, you can make the argument that it didn't come from FEMA and I'll accept that but as of right now, all indications are that it did.
Asker1 yAnd that's fine if that's the argument you wanna make but don't make the argument that FEMA relief is designed to bail out sanctuary cities.
Asker1 yThat's what they call themselves, "sanctuary cities" and that's what MOST of them are, "illegal immigrants". The percentage of them that came through a port of entry, legally, is very low. Besides, don't change the argument!
- 1 y
They are meaningless terms that can mean any one of a plethora of things. Sanctuary cities are just cities that exercise their right of autonomy, there is nothing special about them. As for the term "illegal immigrant" its a favorite term for people constructing propaganda.
And no, most "illegal immigrants" came through legal ports of entry. It is the minority that runs across the border or jumps a wall. Its things like overstayed VISAs and such that is the real culprit to USAs illegal immigration issue. In other words, bureaucratic bullshit if you ask me.
Asker1 yThat's fine, I don't lose sleep over it. I'm just glad we came to an agreement that FEMA relief money should not go to bail out cities that welcome illegal immigrants. We do have that understanding, correct?
1 yThe truth is tax money was used to house illegals all over the country. There's even videos of illegal aliens complaining about the free food being offered at the free hotels they are staying in. I don't care if it's money from FEMA or Social Security or the Department of USAID. It's my money being spent on non citizens.
00 Reply6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I heard that, too. Plus FEMA was not only worthless during recent hurricanes and disasters like in Lahaina and N. Carolina, but actually impeded people from saving lives and property. It has somehow become evil over time.

1 yI think you'd be SHOCKED if you knew how corrupt and evil most of the bureaucracy and politicians really are.
What wicked things they do with our money and then lecture us and act like they care or are virtuous.

Can you now confirm there was a problem or are you still denying that too? I'm starting to think we're going to need a museum to document all this so people never forget. For $billions plus, could have built them a city somewhere lot cheaper. ya don't want any poor visitor staying in NYC!
Yes, and you can thank Elon for exposing that.
