The Fema supervisor that was fired is stating that this is standard practice and happened in NC and GA as well. She says she's been turned into a scapegoat by FEMA. Opinions?

Denying people FEMA aid is a big deal. And it's been reported that she was initially merely reassigned to working in another county.

But I can see why lying leftists want to pretend that there is nothing to investigate- we see many times a day how much you hate your political opponents and members of disfavored groups, so it's perfectly reasonable not to assume that this was some isolated incident (she even put the instructions to avoid Trump supporters in writing).

@Avicenna To my knowledge FEMA has not admitted to anything of the sort. They just confirmed that one of their employee did send out a message advising to avoid houses with Trump flags but also that she was immediately fired and to my knowledge her advice was never actually followed.

Also I find it hilariously unlikely that the civilians were not actually coordinating with FEMA unless the civilians are either incompetent or the area in question never needed help in the first place.

Do you think a FEMA supervisor should be instructing subordinates to avoid signing up people she didn’t like because of race and political beliefs? What if there hadn’t been whistleblowers bringing this to the attention of the public? These people victimized by this racist supervisor would not have received aid, and no one would have checked.

How would you prevent a similar incident from occurring? It’s clear from multiple incidents that some leftists hate Trump supporters to the point that they would deny them their rights and government services. How will you ensure this doesn’t happen, and how do we know it hasn’t happened elsewhere? The President of the United States openly stated that Trump supporters are “garbage”. Think that sends a message that you can deprive Trump supporters of their rights?

This incident shows us that there are institutional problems in federal agencies due to hiring being discriminatory and some leftists take advantage of this to get extremists hired by federal agencies. Government employed conservatives has already been denying service to the left wing since basically forever. The most famous recent event was probably the woman who refused to sign marriage certificates for gay couples because of her personal religious beliefs.

And if I remind you, conservatives applauded her and tried to defend her in court.
