We need to. talk about why it happened to make sure it won't happen again. Lack of personel to adequately warn people js the reason. The alert was sent out early enough, but most people aren't reading their phone at midnight. Yet, because the people who can provide warnings that people actually hear took Trump's voluntary retirement, nobody could do that. Maybe if Trump actually found out why these people had their jobs before people die because he fired them, we could have avoided this.
Yes! There should have been loud sirens. And soon there will be. But Trump can't be expected to micromanage the entire planet in a few months. Rosie is a bitter, insane person. She fled the country to escape Trump, but Trump is still living inside of her head.

Trump doesn't control the weather, but he has reduced the staff at NOAA, which is responsible for predicting the weather and issuing warnings for severe storms and flash flooding.
I didn't know that. I did read that the state refused to spend the money necessary to establish a warning system. But even if they have a warning system, it still needs data to be useful. That data comes from weather satellites and weather radar which require personnel to both maintain them and interpret the data.
Actually, @slatyb, if you weren't confining yourself to reading Democratic Party propaganda, you'd know that there was additional staffing and warnings were issued.

If you actually read anything other than propaganda, you’d know that the next town over had a warning system, which already tells me that your claim is inaccurate and misleading, as the tone of your claim anyhow indicates.
