How would you react to an animal sacrifice?

We've all been to a dinner where the host says a prayer before the meal. Even if you're an atheist or follow a different religion you go along with it out of politeness and respect.

Bit what if they brought out a live animal to be sacrificed? How would you react?

I used to go to a restaurant that had a fish tank and whenever somebody ordered fish for dinner, they would grab a fish out of the tank and kill it, our friends loved that the fish was newly killed cause it mean our food was fresh and I once brought a white guy to the restaurant and explained to them they did not kill the fish until you ordered it, and he was so traumatized by the fact a fish had to die for us, that was all he talked about for an hour and a half, it shows cultural differences in perspective.

I’d try to not make a scene, but I’d avoid eating that dish. If offered some, I’d politely decline. If asked why, I’d say it’s just my personal beliefs. Then, I’d change the subject to not interrupt the flow of the gathering.

I guess when you come right down to it you are sacrificing an animal every time you eat a hamburger. It would be gross however.
