I admire the Republican congressman who voted against the big beautiful bill, because he said it hurts his illegal alien constituents. the thing about the migrant situation is: at what cost are you willing to totally eradicate it? like if the usa focused all it's ressources on that one thing, they could probably do it. but there's other and i'd argue way more important issues to focus on.
In 2023 the federal government spent over 400 billion dollars on benefits for illegal aliens. Cities and states spent billons more. I am sure a half a trillion dollars would get rid of them and then some.
@exitseven well sure but think of all the things you don't have then anymore. You think they're gonna cut military expenses for that? Nope. Even more education budget cuts and infrastructure upkeep is gonna suffer. I think the vast majority of people would say these things are more important.

When I watched the footage of that pot farm raid, I couldn't help but wonder what the owner of the farm was doing. Was he watching wheel of Fortune and making a tuna sandwich? He or she should have been the first person with handcuffs on. Why not cut off the head of the snake? Trump talks about giving illegals $1,000 to self deport. Screw that. Give the employers an all expense paid for trip to alligator Alcatraz.
Having a class system at all is going to doom any space travel. If we can't figure out freedom of movement on earth it's going to implode in space. A colony ship isn't the same as a military ship.
Have you heard of the "Fermi paradox?" Statistically speaking there should be a 100% of some kinda communication in space with existing technology we have. So far no confirm communication exists. So why not?
One answer is a true space fairing society can't comprehend violence against another. Way too many and faster ways to kill another before you can get to space travel. On top of that just how long and dangerous space travel is any disent that comes with any -ism you can think of will doom the voyage.
It really has to be truly Utopia equality to keep the peace. If we can't do that in a sustainable planet then there's zero chance on a limited environment of space.

It's also not likely the police are the millionaire class allowed in the space travel. At the same time should they roll over and die protecting the higher class as slaves when they have the guns.
My grandparents came from Christian Lebanon. Back then it was 70% Christian. The country was wealthy& tolerant of muslim immigrants. So more and more muslims came and had loads of babies until eventually they were the majority and all of a sudden there was no more tolerance and a once prosperous country was laid low under sharia law. This is what the west is heading for.
