Personally I am also halfway believing this is a setup. After all so far Trump has been modelling his term after machiavelli and classics like 1984. Both of which advocate having an opponent. The ideal one being one you control. That way anyone opposing you are more likely to join the fake opposing side rather than do anything actually troubling.

I'm pretty sure he can't, and it really makes no difference to someone like Musk anyway. He can run his businesses from anywhere in the world, he can buy private healthcare anywhere in the world, he probably owns property in many different countries, etc. All the things that prevent the rest of us leaving our home country, don't apply any more once you're rich enough.

From the few facts 'known' to me:

Trump only picks on the weak. He will hesitate to ''attack'' Musk with anything but words.

And what Trump's words are worth - we know that already.
