There is a petition circulating in Canada to strip Musk of his citizenship. There are further threats to ban Trump from entering Canada due to his lengthy criminal record and lack of respect for Canadian sovereignty.
I personally think Canada should ban all Americans. You want to go to Alaska take a flight.

I strongly disagree. I respect American sovereignty and I think it’s reasonable to expect the same courtesy from America. The lack of respect from Trump and the MAGA cult is disgraceful and many Canadians are taking it as a direct threat.

The petition is symbolic in nature. It’s Canada giving a well deserved middle finger to Musk who is actually trying to dismantle Canadian sovereignty with Trump.

More evident Canadian's can't be trusted and that last outpost of the brittish empire must in its bitter anti-Americanism be brought under the parental imperial yoke.
Most of them in eastern Canada may not be worthy of U. S. Citizenship having been dedicated the dishonest exploitation and repression of their western 'countrymen'.

It is clear Canada has never forgiven or gotten over the Declaration of our natural and inalienable rights. The same Rights which had originally compelled us to separate from the mother country and thus also them who defiantly remained loyal.

Trump thinks Economic force will be enough to put Canada into line I don't think so.
To me it's a financial question and is it a good fit... not an emotional one. Trumps aggressive style turns it into an emotional issue and that has always been his problem. He's an A44. Personally, I think it's a good idea to merge and I said that long before Trump said it. Why... huge unnecessary border, competing with Asia with 3x the population.
Canadas debt level to GDP is lower than USA... but still high at 100%. How bad is their social cost? that I don't know.
Benefits: * Power shift... if Canada does and they are as left as I suspect, they'd take over the whole of the USA in one fell swoop and secure the left politics for generations.
* Efficiencies - less border, opens up lands for development and resources.
* Access: To warmer climate. Opening up might drain norther Canada over time as people move south. Who the heck wants to live in -30F?
BUT, if I was Canadian, I wouldn't want USA's greed, $ is God, and sick social culture. I'd want it pure as well... so can't blame you.

Canada should tax Americans that enter our country or demand a visa. Too many Canadians think Trump is the problem... but who voted for him? America. Yankee go home is my motto now. I am so fed up with that sick country.

I was never in a concentration camp, and don't know of anyone who was ever sent to one (because they didn't exist) and I didn't accept the vaccine (because I just didn't believe the obvious nonsense that was being said about it). I even once walked past an ambulance and a couple of police cars (they'd recently attended a scene where someone had died) without a mask during the very height of the scamdemic, and nothing at all happened to me. The only place in Australia where it became really bad, really authoritarian, was in the city of Melbourne, and thankfully I'd already left that hellhole a very long time before 2020.

I've heard this rumor this is why don has been talking about making Canada a state. so elon would then be retroactively a us born citizen and eligible for being president.
If true I do think that is treasonous and disqualified for any official seat in the government.

@dustybiker2. I'm not a Republican or a right-libertarian. I have what I think of as 1960s-'70s liberal values, which are nothing like what passes for so-called liberalism these days. And I'm not "triggered" by homosexuality. Although I do find some (not all) gay guys to be creepy and I don't like those who push the LGBTQI+ agenda. I have become increasingly anti-woke over the past few years.

Sure, why not. Elon lives in Texas. You can only be a resident of one state for tax and voting purposes. Canada being the 51 state now, it only seems proper that Elon chose his state of residence as Texas and give up his residency in Canada.
No reason to do that. Musk has 3 citizenships (US, Canada, South Africa). If Canada removed his citizenship, he could still easily travel to Canada on his American citizenship.
